Do you actually think any of your posting on this thread and others is going to advance the Parti cause with the YTCA? Where is your sense of discipline, of dispassionatly advancing your cause?

And just because someone belongs to the YTCA and is a show breeder etc etc, does NOT mean they are a Bad breeder either. But it does mean something Jeannie. It means they have passed a certain level of scrutiny, which continues for the life of their membership. It means, that breeders have sweated have workeD researched have donated time and money for their passion, their commitment to this wondrous breed.
And as much as you truly seem to want to Put Down show breeders for alleged shortcomings, real or just perceived, the fact remains, these people do get out there, they lose, they find out from judging, from assessment of their peers, that mayhap this puppy is not so good as they thought. And there is heartbreak. Not to mention of course a financial loss.

How many times Jeannie have you stood in the ring, when judge by judge has passed over you and your dog? How many times have you travelled through snow, through rain, after countless hours of training, of caring for the show coat, to "blow" it in the ring. You were too nervous, your dog was a little "off" that wkend.

If you want to advance your cause with the YTCA I suggest you strategize just how you will accomplish those goals. For certain is not by putting down, either directly or indirectly the parent club, and the National Registry.

I'm not against individual, specific breeders both YTCA and otherwise. Also, agree with you that the YTCA website is a good source of information. Although, much of the same information is available on other very credible yorkie websites. My disagreement is that many of the club's members insist reputable breeders are not about selling puppies, but are about preserving/bettering/improving the breed, if that is true I don't think breeder referrals should be a part of the YTCA website.

Most people intelligent enough to find the YTCA website, would likely find YT also and I can't think of another website for the lay person that offers more information about breeders, both good or bad, YTCA or not, rescue resources, yorkie health, grooming, training, showing etc. YTCA breeders have websites just as hobby breeders and mills. If one has read the YTCA information or the wealth of information on YT, they should be able to make an informed decision about who to contact for breeder referrals or what websites/breeders to avoid.

I'm sure a search on YT would reveal more information than the average pet buyer has time to read regarding buying a puppy In fact, if a potential puppy buyer contacts a YTCA member about a puppy, I believe that member is required to share other YTCA breeder information with the potential buyer. So, even the few YTCA breeders on YT would have to assist in a breeder referral, once again removing the need for the YTCA breeder referral page.
