A wonderful "retirement" home ... Morning ladies and gents! I'm hoping someone here might be able to offer me some direction. My mission: to find an older female yorkie to "retire" with my mom. Mom's currently going through chemotherapy for the third time in 20 years - she's a repeat survivor and isn't real computer savy (can't even turn one on), so has asked me to help her out. What she's interested in is an older female - who's just looking to spend days and nights "hanging out" and being loved. My parents live in South Louisiana (Lafayette) in a lovely home with a huge fenced backyard. There are two other dogs here, both older and calm and all recently had to say goodbye to their 18 year old friend, Raisin' Cane (yorkie). My mom's had two yorkies in the past - Raisin and one before named "Noggin", who lived to see 17 years. Both had wonderful lives and to this day remain loved - they are missed daily and always will be. Mom's heart is opened to love another but this time, I think we have a bit too much on our plates to start a small puppy. I have checked and will continue checking the rescues! My thanks for any direction ... Kev |

I can tell, you are a very special son, and I too will say a prayer for your Mother, this little girl will really help her along I'm sure. |
If you'd like, I'd love to make whatever outfit you want. I design and sew dance costumes, and often I'm just given a picture and go from there. So I'm pretty confident that I can make any doggie outfit that I see. Just let me know. I'd love to do this for you and your mom! Michele :-) |

What a wonderful thing!!:) Keven, I want to welcome you to Yorkie Talk! I will keep your mom in my prayers. |
Awwww... Makes me want to buy my next Yorkie baby from Natalie!! How sweet of you! You, too, Michele. Keven, how wonderful and thoughtful of you to do this for your mom! I can't think of anything that you could have done to help her fight through her illness. When my Mother-in-law came home from a three month stay in the hospital with breast cancer, the very first words out of her mouth as the paramedics brought her in were to call her Mini-Pin's name when she saw him. She had the biggest smile on her face. I have never forgotten it. She only lived four days after she came home from the hospital, but those four days, her dog laid right by her side and gave her some comfort. Interestingly, one of the things that she "saw" the day before she died was her childhood dog. She just smiled and waved and said, "I see my grandma and Jimmy (her dog from her childhood, she explained)". Brings tears to my eyes still today to know that she was not going to be alone in her journey. I know your mother will have a better outcome in fighting her illness. I'll keep her in my prayers. Bless you for all that you are doing for her. |
pay it forward oh!!! I can't wait to follow this thread! It is like a fairytale! Please do post pictures of your mom with her new baby! Natalie! I am sending lots of good energy your way! You are an inspiration! |
Thank you 1 Attachment(s) Thanks for the energy i believe if people in this world would just help one another out like they use to the world would be a much better place. What great love could anyone ever have then a yorkie. There always happy to see you they give you unconditional love and they never talk back or try to make you feel bad all they do is bring happiness into your life there such a joy. I have another 6 month old male who has an awesome pedigree that never got his testicals there right there but they never dropped he only weighs 3-lbs and i need to find him a home to. So if you know anyone that needs a small male pet let me know he is champion sired and his mother is Ullie on my website and his father is Ziggy my canadian champion. This is a picture of him Attachment 273515 |

I don't breeder her she is my baby girl. and she is 7 pds and get along with other dogs. is he housebroken? sophie is trained to go outside and on pee pads when we stay in hotels. And i think what you did for this son and mother is wonderful!!! |
little male I am asking 500.00 dollars + 300 shipping for him I just gave him a spring hair cut so his hair is short now but he would get along just fine with your female and your grandchildren he loves my grand children they play with him all the time if you email me at nlappegard@yahoo.com i can send you his pedigree it's beautiful and he's champion sired |
I don't get it.... This website stresses caution on the part of breeders who care, that they want to know where their dogs go...And yet this breeder is sending her dog off to a newbie with a nice sob story complete with a mother with cancer on chemotherapy etc etc....Sounds like a con job to me, I don't know, maybe I am a cynic since I grew up in a big bad city. But, people, this is cyberspace! People lie! Why could this man find this website but not a breeder in his own town? Be careful!! |
