I have been following this story from day 1. I have to say that this is the most heartwarming story on here since our Ella came into our lives. Kev I'm so glad that Catrina is safely in your arms and cannot wait till your Mom sees her adorable little face!! She has the most beautiful brown eyes!! Natalie Thank-You for sending Catrina to Kev's Mom to Love...What a truly wonderful person you are to do this! :) And Kev, Please post pics when Catrina is placed in your Mom's arms for the first time...I can't wait to see your Mom's expression! Morning, ladies ....

Well, Catrina and I are too excited to sleep. I gave up the venture and she jumped back in bed for a bit. We're heading to Mom's early this afternoon probably arriving sometime mid to late evening. It's a long drive but we'll visit along the way.

We went to the spa yesterday - we're all beautiful and ready to go hug Mom and Dad. While I hope to capture the look of delight on her face as we walk in the door, if I miss it, I promise I'll sneak one in at some point.

My heart is smiling from the inside out. Natalie, never will I be able to return what you've so kindly extended to us. While I'm merely the middle man, I know them both enough to realize it's a match made in Heaven. As I laid across the bed giving and getting sugar from the lil girl tonight, my husband stopped, looked at me and said "she really is the perfect little dog for your Mom."

I can't wait!!!!

Morning, ladies ...

Well, no photos yet. Mom asked that I please wait til she's dressing again - it's chemo week and well, we're still in our pjs and will be probably for another day or so, but we're home and oh my goodness, hearts are beating faster!

Mom absolutely LOVES Catrina!! Catrina's warming up nicely to her and I think it's going to be a match made in Heaven. Right now, they are tucked away fast asleep in bed.

Catrina's fallen in love with the place. My goodness, I've missed a couple of premium photo ops not having a camera handy. Today, I was walking her around the backyard - it's a little over an acre - securely fenced. She acts like she's going to the park every time we go out there - all the gardens to play in. We've stalked lizards, squirrels - even a frog tonight. Today, she rolled over in the grass and just squirmed around on her back. She suddenly stopped squirming - looked over at me upside down, smiled with this look in her eyes like "is this really all mine?" I just died laughing and assured her that it really was. She jumped up, tucked her nub of a tail and started running around in big circles.

She's starting to really feel "at home". When she's allowed to use her legs - she's following us around til she just peters out for a nap. She has beds in every room but is still favoring the pile of my dirty clothes in my room. What can I say ... she's a Yorkie, but first a dog.

I do promise photos! Maybe tomorrow, I'll be able to get her in the yard - treeing squirrels again. Goodness sakes - she's so tough to have me less than 6 feet behind her at all times.

Ohmygoodness, I didn't know you could love a dog THIS much! Do ya'll have addiction meetings anywhere?

Keven, what a good daughter you are!! I have been keeping up with this thread and remembering all the things that I did for my Mom. What joy little Catrina will bring her. Sounds like that little Princess has already taken charge of her kingdom! God bless you. Good job! :thumbup::thumbup:

I am so happy Catrina is doing so well but i new she would she was always a sweet heart for me full of joy and happiness these yorkies are so wonderful. Nothing in the world could ever compare to there personality I think there really human non of mine are dogs they are so smart and they bring so much love and joy into my life there way better then TV at least i think so. Give your mom a hug for me and give Catrina one to I sure miss her but as long as i know she's happy thats very important to me. I always believed that god puts people in your life for a reason. It's so strange because normally i am a very busy person and i don't always have time to read all the threads on Yorkie Talk why is it i decided to read the threads when Kevin needed a dog for her mom is beyond me it just goes to show how God works in out lives. I am so thankful each and every day for the sweet little yorkies he has blessed me with they are such a gift.

I have had to stay in bed today and so I took this opportunity to once again get on YT. I read this thread in its entirity and loved it. With all that we are facing in the world today, the economy, crime, killings, drugs, impending nuclear war, etc............doesn't it do your heart good to read about generous people giving to others that are wanting to give the gift of love. My hat goes off to you Natalie & Keven and all the ones that have given them support here on YT along the way. All of you have touched my heart.

I just found this thread today and what a wonderful thread it is! Very heartwarming. Can't wait to see pictures of the two of them together.

You all are so kind; thank you, most sincerely, for the prayers and thoughts out way. Mom's still resting from the last round, but getting a little more energy every day. Katrina's helping, of course. She's been very busy showing us all her favorite places to be rubbed ... I snuck these in today with my cell phone - sorry, it's all I had handy and the girls didn't really want their photos taken (we're still at our pajama party phase).

Natalie, we LOVE this dog! Oh my ... she's got me, Mom and Dad wrapped around a dew claw! We're so thankful to and for you.
