Just to let everyone know i recieved kevins check for the shipping and I am waiting for her to let me know what day i can ship her to her. Aren't yorkies wonderful how nice it is when you wake up in the morning to there happy little tails wagging at you always ready to give a kiss or smile these yorkies are just precious.

I am so glad everything is working out! I have been following this thread and am so happy for everyone involved. I bet Catrina is going to be a huge help to Keven's mom and it is so nice of Natalie and Keven to do this for her. I can't wait to see pictures of Catrina's trip and homecoming. Thank you for such an uplifting story. It is nice to know there are good people out there!

I am happy my Catrina will have a wonderful home and bring happiness into someones life as she has done for me yorkies are such a gift I just love them i would never own any other kind of a dog they don't seem like dogs to me they seem like little people who are my best friends that make me laugh make me smile and make everyday of my life better no matter what happens in this world.

I am sooo very happy for all of you, having been home the last 8 months fighting cervical cancer I understand exactly why Kevens mom wanted a dog, I cant tell you all how special Laci is to me, I love her more then anything, I only wish I had had her when I was going through chemo.. I was soo sick and just laid on my couch ( im still there alot of the days) !! God bless the woman who offered her dog to this mom and daughter, you are one of her angels.. I know it probally sounds crazy but I too came to this board and asked where I could find a dog that needed to be rehomed or a retired breeding dog, I didnt want a puppy because some days your body wont co-operate with your mind but I am so happy with Laci.
Im sure everyone made this lady a very very happy person and now she has a companion to lay with her when she is sick and to be her friend..

Tomorrow's big day 1
 
Morning, all ..

Well, tomorrow's Big Day 1: Catrina's heading to Fort Worth to spend a week with me until I head back to Mom's next Wednesday. We had to get her down here "now" because the weather in our area is quickly heating - prohibiting animal transport via flight.

I cannot wait to meet her! Thank you, Natalie!!

What a wonderful story! Keven, you sound like such a loving and devoted daughter....your mom is so lucky to have you! I am truly sorry to hear about all of the heartache that has struck your family. You will all be in my prayers.

Natalie, I commend you for commiting such an awesome act of unselfishness and kindness. If there were more people in the world with that attitude, what a difference it would make!

Evening, ladies ...

Well, the most precious little Yorkie I've ever seen in my life walked into our world this afternoon. She's stunning and the sweetest little thing in the world.

She's a little shaken by her day - it's been a very long one for such a small girl. I think she's perhaps a tad miffed at me for flying her coach ... and perhaps doesn't like the little lime green and white Coach jacket I bought her for evenings this spring.

... but she does love her new truck. I'm ordering her a booster chair for the passenger seat tonight.

Isn't she wonderful? I'm so excited. And oh yes, Mom knows all about her. I don't believe in giving dogs as surprise gifts. Natalie, Natalie ... you so outdid yourself!!! Ohmy.

Oh my, doesn't she look so sweet?!?!? She has the warmest little eyes. I wish I could be a fly on the wall when your mom meets her - she is just gonna love this little one. Now, since we've all gotten so attached to this girl and her story, we hope you'll post pics of their first meeting! Congratulations on this beautiful girl for your mom!!! :)

Just read this whole thread and I have to say...HOORAY! Please please take pictures when your mom sees her for the first time...I can't wait to see the look on her face!

My mom recently broke her wrist due to severe osteoporosis and I'm afraid she might have to close her alterations shop. She will be so depressed...so I'm thinking of giving her my little boy, Phoenix, to be her buddy. My dad and she love little dogs, but never dreamed of affording a yorkie. I hope she can keep working (as she loves her tiny shop), but if not, I hope that Phoenix will put sunshine in her life!

Yay for Keven and her mom!

Wow, it's after 3 a.m., I can't sleep and I just sat here and read this ENTIRE thread! :eek: lol. And my goodness, what a GREAT thread it is!!! :D Natalie - you are such a true angel for doing this for Keven's mom! You will be blessed for this act of kindness! :hug: Keven - what a sweetheart you are for trying to find a baby for your mom...looks like you found THE perfect one! :D Catrina is such a cute and sweet little thing!

I did a similar thing for my mom :) She wanted a little Yorkie girl so bad - and I found her right here on YT from one of our wonderful members...and she too, was FREE :) They drove her all the way down here from Wisconsin and all my mom had to pay her was $300 for gas! :thumbup: All they cared about was that she went to a happy, loving home - which she very well did ;) She is now spoiled ROTTEN and is the queen of the house LOL. She is soooooooo cute too! :p

Well, I don't have any pictures of my mom on this computer *WITH* her little Kenzi....but I do have pictures of Kenzi (my mom's Yorkie) that I have posted on here before :)
