Yorkie Talker | I live in Issaquah and I found my little guy at the Humane Society. You can check their web page daily. I have seen a few other yorkies at times. I also want to find a sibling for my dog, but want a larger yorkie (at least 8 lbs) who would have the stamina to enjoy hiking. Be careful, because people are breeding yorkies so small now (they were originally about 14 lbs or so) and they have so many health issues. Reputable breeders make sure that the mother is at least 5 lbs. I'm in a lacal club and the so-called "teacup" yorkies have seizures, teeth problems, and other health issues. So, please focus on the animal's health and not just the size factor to discourage this unhealthy trend. Just soemthing to think about...good luck! |

| The Kijiji classifieds are ALL either shipping from other states, (which they put under Seattle and then say they're in Texas, etc.) or from Camaroon, Africa. NOT WORTH IT. I have been checking there forever, and its always the same story. |

| Sweetnprecious...not ALL of them are out of state. I know one lady who has her boy on there...Anden. He is in Silver Creek WA...I have met her in person and am getting my new baby girl from her next week. But you are right...you have to be very very careful! I have a friend who just told me her two tied this week...Her girl is about 8 lbs, so the babies might be the size you are looking for. Of course, they won't be ready for a long time, since we don't have a verified pregnancy, but if you want, I can keep in touch with you and update you later. Her dogs tend to have nice sized litters...4-5 pups... deb |

| I don't mean to come off sounding rude...but whatever you find, PLEASE be CERTAIN you're not supporting a back yard breeder. (or puppymill for that matter) Dogs from a shelter or rescue are often adopted for a very minimal fee, and by adopting, you are saving a life. Last edited by AMD; 03-10-2009 at 01:15 PM. |
