YES dogs need immunity to the very serious, crippling, deadly viruses infecting the canine population. We can ALL agree on that. That fact is NOT in question. The question is are there other ways of creating immunity that are safer than vaccinating? This is groundbreaking research, we are pioneers in this field. The answers are coming slowly but they are out there, usually funded independantly than the mainstream vetrinarian allopathy. In our breeding program no superfluous chemicals touch our dogs. Our household cleaning products are organic and the dogs are bathed with organic, essential oil based shampoos. They recieved high quality raw and dehydrated meat dogfood supplemented with Omega-3 oils. They come up clean when fecal tested, they do not acquire worms, they do not have skin disorders. Our vet has nothing to offer us when we visit because our dogs are in prime health. Their coats are shiny, healthy and full. They do not have ear infections. They do not exhibit any signs of aggression toward people or other dogs. They are regularly socialized at dogparks, geriatric centers, travel extensively and introduced to all species. So far, not a single problem. I have not had a chance to ask a question yet. I will ask now, DO YOUR DOGS FIT THIS DESCRIPTION AND IF NOT, ISN'T IT WORTH THINKING ABOUT? I'm sorry Jen, I will respect your wishes to close this thread, this is my last post. ![]() Johanna, CMT Home | |

Donating YT 1000 Club Member | ![]() From my research Parvo is not airborne. There's been talk of a new strain that could be, but so far I guess it's classified as just rumor. However, like you, I have heard the term "airborne" when Parvo is involved, but I believe it has to do with the fact that it can travel on the feet of birds, and even flys. If a fly lands on an infected pile of feces, and then lands on your dogs water dish, it can be transmitted that way. Also birds and other animals can carry it on them and transfer it to another area. AND....i've read it can travel on dust particles in the air....so if you really want to get technical... ..there you go...airborne! But in classification of viruses, Parvo is not considered to be an airborne virus. .................................................. ...................................... this was the response i recieved about the airborne parvo... no more posts to add...best wishes YT
