I also breed holistically reared yorkshire terriers, I purchased one of Jen's pups because it coincides with my breeding program to add healthy, strong splitter bloodlines. I know that she will not fall "sick or dying because it was not given its proper vaccines" because vaccinating is not the only method of instilling immunity. I have already posted the science behind natural immunity and the proof of antibodies due to titer's tests.
YES dogs need immunity to the very serious, crippling, deadly viruses infecting the canine population. We can ALL agree on that. That fact is NOT in question.
The question is are there other ways of creating immunity that are safer than vaccinating? This is groundbreaking research, we are pioneers in this field. The answers are coming slowly but they are out there, usually funded independantly than the mainstream vetrinarian allopathy.
In our breeding program no superfluous chemicals touch our dogs. Our household cleaning products are organic and the dogs are bathed with organic, essential oil based shampoos. They recieved high quality raw and dehydrated meat dogfood supplemented with Omega-3 oils. They come up clean when fecal tested, they do not acquire worms, they do not have skin disorders. Our vet has nothing to offer us when we visit because our dogs are in prime health. Their coats are shiny, healthy and full. They do not have ear infections. They do not exhibit any signs of aggression toward people or other dogs. They are regularly socialized at dogparks, geriatric centers, travel extensively and introduced to all species. So far, not a single problem.
I have not had a chance to ask a question yet. I will ask now, DO YOUR DOGS FIT THIS DESCRIPTION AND IF NOT, ISN'T IT WORTH THINKING ABOUT?
I'm sorry Jen, I will respect your wishes to close this thread, this is my last post.
