| Irene -- Do you own male biewers that you will be breeding Hope and Harmony with? Or do you own just the 2 of them? All of your Yorkies are precious! Anyone would be lucky to have any of them!!! XoXoXo Fran and Sammi

There are 2 breeders in CA who have some of the same pics on each one's web site. I thought there were partners when I spoke with them about 1 1/2 years ago..Now they have 2 different web sites. Their partis run around $3500.00 and when I spoke with them they said thet sell with limited reg and spay/neuter agreement. Would you like one of us to check out the pup and its markings?? . | |

| Irene, the code they assign is the same code used for partis of any breed. You probably already know that they do assign a number based on breed but based on color..so parti-poodles or Pom and such would have the same marking number as a Yorkie.. |

| Biewer Yorkshire Terriers Hello, fellow yorkie lovers. I just joined yorkie talk, so let me introduce myself. My name is Susan Williams and I reside in Alabama. I too have the Biewer yorkshires. The are wonderful little dogs. I will have to share with you that their personalities are different than our traditional yorkies here in the states. Once you meet one you will have to have one, they will steal your heart in a minute. I want everyone to know that if you are looking for one of these dogs-PLEASE be very careful when purchasing one and be patient they are very hard to come by- good quality biewers are. I have been contacted by ppl that have been taken, they were sold dogs with wrong registries, they were give pictures of puppies of they were suppose to get and don't get the pup that was pictured. Also alot of poor quality dogs, sick dogs, ect... So check into the seller- don't be bamboozled. I know this happens in every breed, and it is sad that there is dishonest people out there, but it angers me that this brand new breed has thiefs attached to it already and will make it hard for those of us honest people trying to bring this breed here in the states for everyone to enjoy. I have taken my two Biewers to show this past June to Gray Summit at Purina Farms in MO. We can show the Biewers with the International All Breed Canine Assoc. their website is www.iabca.com if you would like some information on the shows and if there will be one in your area. They will do what they call a super week-end, which entitles you to show your dog four times that weekend and accumulate the points for titles. I came home with my male a national and international baby champion and my female is a national baby champion. (she would not walk on her leash!!!) Well that is my introduction. I have almost wrote a book for all of you and so this is chapter I. haha!!! I just get excited about my dogs I don't have enough sense to stop writing. Nice to meet everyone. Be Blessed Sue |

| I just want to add to the genetics of the biewers. To do this we need to start at the beginning with the founder Mr. Biewer , the history of the Yorkshires and what the word pie-bald means. So everyone put your thinking caps on. Let us start with the Yorkshires their coloring is a give me, you have your black backs and your silver backs, right? Okay now we will introduce the word pie-bald which means "marked with two different colors, esp. black and white, (commonly used in other animal breeding as well) this is where the white was introduced into the breed. Sad to say many breeders used to kill these puppies ( having white in their coloring) as they didn't want others to know of this color in their lines. Some will tell you this is a sign of mutt being in your bloodline somewhere. Now Mr. Biewer took the recessive pie-bald gene carriers that are Yorkies and mutated that gene to develop this breed. There was several breedings to achieve this and as he introduced other recessive pie-bald carriers to his program as not to continuing inbreed.(If you have had the opportunity to see his picture of his dogs on the runway, they weren't all Biewers in that picture.) That is how different bloodlines have developed. All of the Biewers start with the Master parents, as we all started with Adam and Eve. And here is another little formula for everyone, just because you breed two biewers that doesn't mean you can't still get a yorkie. I have seen this on the whelpen pages of German breeders web sites. So don't be disappointed if you get this, it can happen, as genetics go they can pull from their ancestral genes. I hope this helps clarifying the history of how the biewers came about, So if you ask me are the biewers different from the parti-colors, only is they were breed with another breed of dog such as the maltese, ect.(Which some breeders are doing this for knock offs, now) If the parti-colors comes from a recessive pie-bald gene mutation, then it would be the same dog just different lines, which that may differ the color pattern in some. Of course the parti color would have to have the same standards of the Biewers, no docked tail (which is part of the standard white to be at the end of the tail.) and that all four legs and bellies are to be white. As the biewers have the black and white backs, as some of the parti colors include some tan or brown in coloring. That may be where we seperate the Breed. |

| Thank you for your warm welcome and the compliment on Eliah. He is a beautiful and loving dog, but I sold him to a wonderful family in Virginia. She was needing something special in her life and was in love with his picture. Homer was for sale at that time, but she just really wanted Eliah. So with his personality I knew he would be just what she needed. He had a purpose and that was to bring joy to a much deserving person so I took Homer and sold her Eliah. Sometimes the Lord sits on our shoulders and directs us to do his will. I prayed about this and the only time I felt good about it was when I considered the sale. By following his direction Sharon has been very grateful and taking wonderful care of him. Eliah has brought great joy to their family and isn't what this is all about. I will have to tell you Homer will never fit in Eliah's paws and will be greatly missed, but Homer brings a new personality to our family and is always making us smile with his silly self. |
