| Looking for Yorkie in/around Las Vegas, SC, or GA Hi there! I have been a member of the YT community for a little bit now and have gotten up the courage to post! ;-P My name is Stephanie. I live in Las Vegas, NV with my fiancee. I currently work as a model and promotional model. My fiancee is an engineer. I don't work too much and when I do it's nights or on the weekends because that's when the promotions happen. My fiancee works a regular 9-5. We live in a house and a have a backyard that has a stone fence so there is no way for a little puppy to be lost. We have no children other than our little (7lb) Maltese, Matthew, that we adopted. He is 1yr 1 mo old. I have been vigilantly searching for a Yorkie to no avail -- which is how I came across the YT community! I would love to have either a female or male Yorkie, preferably 5lbs or under and no older than 1.5 years. I am fine with adopting a rescue, a dog that is being rehomed, or a Yorkie from a reputable breeder. I am willing to travel 4-5 hours away to pick up the Yorkie or depending on the cost of the dog I can fly out and take him/her home in the cabin with me. As far as cost I am looking for a Yorkie around $700 or under. Also, I have family in SC and GA so if there are any dogs available there I can have my parents or my fiancee's parents pick him/her up. More info on me -- I am not a random person who simply decided that they want a small dog. I have done a lot of research on the Yorkshire Terrier breed (just as I did on the Maltese) to make sure that they are a good fit to add to our family. :-) My fiancee and I are both very excited to add a new addidtion to our household. I think I put all the info in here! But if there are any questions I will be checking here every day, probably every few hours because I want a Yorkie so much! Thanks! |

| Thank you so much for your kind words! I, initially started searching for a Yorkie around $500, but have seen that they usually go for much more than that so I raised my price a bit. But the Yorkies that are closer to $500 are much more in my price range! I have been looking for quite some time now and hope that I will have another little furbaby here to warm our household and our hearts soon! |

| Anywhere, really. But my in-laws live in Camden. Do you know, specifically, of any available Yorkies? |

| Good Luck in your yorkie search. It will probably be hard to find one in that price range but definitely not impossible...especially if you are okay with a rescue or an older puppy/young adult. Good Luck

| Thanks! That should really help! It's good to have a trustworthy YTer to actually be able to see the people and their home. I always worry that the puppy will be from a "mean" household. I appreciate your offer and even if the puppy is not in CA, I'm going to post to let everyone know! |

| Hi and Welcome to YT! I don't know how long you've been looking for a puppy but I wouldn't suggest this site. http://lycos.lasvegas.oodle.com/sale...shire_terrier/ Sorry Yorkiedaze I know you were just trying to help but the ads that I looked at from here are questionable - at best. Las Vegas is not your typical city. There are SO many scams, thieves etc that you really do have to be very cautious. One of those ads acted like the puppies were from here, but if you read the whole thing she was in CA. Check zip and area codes as alot of people think they'll get more money if they list them here in Vegas. I flew to Dallas to get my boy this past July. I looked for quite some time. I think the only way I would buy any Yorkie from someone here is to "see" both parents, "see" the paperwork on the parents and possibly the grandparents. There are no "well known" breeders here in Las Vegas that I have been able to find. If there is, now, please let me know because hubby and I asked friends who have grown up here, friends that know judges out of state etc etc. We did an extensive search. This is not to say that you can't find a lovable yorkie here. My Mia came from a despicable pet store but is the best little girl! But you are taking chances... ones that I don't want to take anymore. The second time I wanted a pup from a proven healthy line. Oh, and I paid ALOT more for Mia (pet store) than I did for Max (well known breeder)!!! Good Luck and if you need anyone to talk to PM me and I'll give you my phone number.

| Is anyone traveling to Vegas from CA this week or next? There is a little Yorkie boy in a Bakersfield shelter there that needs to be picked up and this would really help. Thanks! PS Still looking for a Yorkie! But I have decided to foster in the meantime to help homeless Yorkies. |
