I did not mean rushing to use YOUR studs in my post...he said anyone using his studs and got a litter of Parquin pups would never need to advertize, people would be waiting in line. I told him that was not my first interest when picking a stud. I see by your ad his statment is not true. He told me he did not sell his pups with full breeding rights. In fact he critized me for helping a few pet breeders with stud service etc. or selling to them.

I am probably going to get suspended for this but it is time to stand up..
Suddenly Yorkie Talk has become THE place to sell puppies. Breeder come here and are not up front about who they are, they are using "User Namers" so as to not be known as a "pet site puppy seller."
Once these pups are sold we never see them again...
I am sick of it..
Yorkie Talk is becoming another Yorkies Direct..except the owner of the site is not hawking his pups..he is allowing anyone and everyone to hawk theirs.
I do not advertize my pups here, but I feel it should be for contributing, regular posting members only...and you should have to give your full name in the ad. YT is one of the few who allow puppy selling and now I see why.
I have stated my opinion, no name calling, just the truth as I see it.

Thank you for your response and your concerns, we are so happy to know that there are seasoned breeders/owners of the yorkie who care about the value of the breed. Though we are new, we sincerely care about our puppies. We thought since yorkie lovers come to this sight that our boys will find good loveable homes here versus other medias; newspapers, flyers. We felt that this was the safest way to place our boys. Apparentlly based your and other responses it isn't.

Do you suggest that we not sell our puppies here, if not what's a safer venue to sell them so they may get good homes?

Well Pat I agree! You go for it girl! I never have to advertis my babies! And that was miss leading ad! But my brain is little bit slow now days! Ha lily

If you are just getting started in the business, you might have to advertise them once to get your name going. I see nothing wrong with that. Once you've sold a litter and the word gets out, then, I can see where you might not have to advertise in the future.

Everyone has to start somewhere. I'm just glad that this person has been selective in her breeding lines.

But, Pat is correct. We see lots of people that join our site just to sell and not to contribute anything else. We love to get to know people and their babies. We are a yorkie lover community.

We are new at using this website and had difficulty correcting our postings. I agree with YorkieRose, StewiesMom and Red98vett being hesitant and questioning a seller who isn't a regular member until a good amount of solid credentials is reached. I say if you are a true honest breeder of what you claim then welcome to YT!!! Otherwise be prepared to be dissected of erroneous posting/listing/contact/photo/reputation/address claims. Unfortunately fake photos, names, phone numbers ect. when it comes to the selling of puppies via internet is almost the norm. I for one would be excited to welcome a good standing, upscale breeder/seller that would be able to come on occasionally and offer great pups to great homes, It's a matter of gaining credentials like you said "Raymond has his established sphere. We have not developed ours as his. Thus, we are allowing full exposure and people to enjoy the Parquins puppies if they so choose."
As soon as people here know you're not scamming us and your puppies are the real deal, basically as soon as you're established you will be very welcome and most likely very popular LOL!!! You will see that members here are really sweet wonderful people who love their babies and would make you feel happy knowing your pups went to a great home.

Thanks so much for the advise, and we are saddened to know there are scammers abusing the priviledges, and the deception that goes with the spirit of lies. We would never subject ourselves, our children, nor our puppies to that.

Perhaps you can also advise us on the safer means to sell our pups without potentially subjecting them to the wrong home? We would appreciate it.

Help, apparently we must have used the wrong verniage, our intent was to list the stock where we got the pups from who is Parquins since we got asked that question several times, from what we are hearing it should have read "stock" instead of Breeder. There was no misleading because below it we listed mom and dad. And never intended to mislead others to believe it came directly from Parquins but where we got mom and dad from.

Please help to let us know how to edit the word, we don't want to accidently press another post and offend others so they think that we are not being honest.

ie: The breeder's name is NOT Parquin's unless they sold you an already bred bitch. You are the breeder if you own the bitch and/or sire. I believe your ad says they are on the premises(if I am wrong, correct me!)
AND, you have NOT included your name anywhere in the ad. We on this coast recognize Parquins as being from FL and the area code on this ad is a CA one.
As I said, I am speaking only for myself..

Thanks for your response, yes we have mom and dad with us. They are ours. Our names our Levy & Darnella Barnes from California. We are ligitimate people, Levy is retired California Highway Patrol Police Officer, Darnella still working and both raising the children.

We are sorry, our intent is has never been to mislead anyone.

The puppies look oh-so adorable. But this whole breeder thing is confusing me!

Whispersmom says that if you have possession of the parents, than in fact you are the breeder. But, levyq is trying to explain that she posted "Breeder" instead of "stock". On the other hand, levyq says that she has the parents which would make her the breeder as Whispersmom says. So.. are you the breeder with the parents or .. not?

I'm just trying to clarify it. This thread is confusing of sorts.

This is all new to us, and its confusing us also. We've received several responses that apparently says we are not. Yes, we do have the parents, that had the puppies. We are confused also and asked the administrator to clarify this for us since its been everyone's response to us. We definitely don't want to mislead anyone....

Mom and dad are with us that had the pups.

The stock they came from is the Parquins.

Thank you for your remarks about our puppies, we love them!

I am NOT a breeder......(thank-goodness)....but one of the great things I find about YorkieTalk is the ability to read and learn from breeders......

Perhaps, if someone came to yorkietalk ...joined the community......spent some TIME with us....allowed us to get to know them......get a feel for their breeding practices........AND LEARN SOMETHING in the process......then such a reaction could be avoided.

But, when one jumps in suddenly with 3 puppies for sale and the ad is somewhat questionable (????) it just feels like the fella running to the site of the latest 'news' trying to sell t-shirts.

When people use my studs or have both parents from my breeding, I am happy to refer buyers. Long time breeders have the advantage over a new person. We usually have waiting lists. Personally, it is in the best interest of the pups to help place them.
I would contact Parquins and perhaps he will refer pet buyers..many do this in our Yorkie club all the time with people in your posistion.

I have been totally taken aback by the numbers of champion-sired and ch-line pups for sale here lately. We have a number of members who are hobby breeders, posting and contributing daily..I guess I want to see them get a fair shake..sorry.
