Parti Color? YTCA?

As for AKC being satisfied, as I explained earlier, it does not take much to satisfy AKC. It would be quite easy for someone to slip in another breed into the yorkie gene pool and not get caught.

It really does not matter to me one way or another if the parti yorkie is allowed in the show ring. The majority of the parti yorkies I have seen pictures of do not meet the standard in many other ways besides color. I suppose that is why some want to bring in champion bloodline yorkies that have the proper structure and coat texture.

What those of you who insist that there was another breed accidently mixed in, fail to remember, is that the parti color was only showing up in the show lines.

Lines from very reputable exhibitor/breeders, those who only bred yorkies, those who did not risk accidental breedings, those who would not buy breeding stock from the byb.

They were in the Wildweir lines, the Nikko lines, the Durrer lines and many more. I doubt that any of those breeders would have risked an accidental breeding.

What right do any of you have to sit here and degrade us as humans just because we have Parti colored dogs. I find it a shame that YT lets this go on over and over again. That you can sit on here and call all parti breeders BYB, not reputable, being in it just for money, speaking out of both sides of the mouth(what kind of comment is that?)

I love the Yorkshire Terrier the way it is. If I wanted another breed or different look I would have gone in that direction.

Their body structure, their ear set, tail set, eye set, gait, and the way the color on their heads goes from black to tan, are all yorkie traits. Other than the white, they are yorkie in every other way.

Not ONCE have I said Parti breeders were BYB's or said you were not reputable...I've only stated your not breeding to standard set forth by the YTCA and that is "fact". I've never spoken out of both sides of my mouth on this subject. If one says a Partie was born out of these lines you are saying I can't take it as gospel because I haven't personally seen it so I have to take it as hearsay plain and simple...

I wouldn't call you any of the above except that you have to be loving the inflated prices that you're getting for parti colors! But that too shall come to an end. All I would say is that in your futile attempt to legitimize parti color yorkies you're doing untold harm to the breed. And for that alone I have no respect for anyone involved in breeding parti colored yorkies. Whether this all started with a accidental breeding at the Streamglen Kennel in the UK many years ago or whether people have just cleverly mixed breeds to get the white patches on the sides, legs and head, we'll never know. Way too much time has passed for DNA or Mars testing to prove anything. But in the future all YTCA can do is damage control and hope to preserve the integrity of the breed.

so what's your point? I"ve seen registration papers marked blue and gold and the dog was black and tan was wasn't going to change to blue and gold...so that still doesn't show me anything...again it's all hearsay until you've seen the dog.
However, in the yorkie registration it does allow for black and tan but regarding Parti's its a color "marking". Color and markings are two seperate catagories.

YOU cannot state this as you DO NOT know what I have or what I sell or what I sell a pup for. I for one do not breed to sell Parti's. How do you know an accidental breeding occured? Where is your proof? All you have is hearsay. On the other hand I have written proof otherwise.

Ok let me shed some light here....Yes, money did buy AKC to allow Parti's to be registered BUT they couldn't buy YTCA to accept it...so I guess that money wasn't good enough...

That's just the point, written proof is only as credible as the person writing it or the person may truly believe what he is writing is fact. Only DNA and/or Mars testing would have either proven or disproven the claims of parentage. And again, way too many decades have passed for that to happen. We can only deal with the future, which is what YTCA is doing.

Since AKC DNA'ed the Mom , Dad and the pups involoved in the Hylan lines
Seeing the pedigrees and pics - which had to be sent to AKC for the correct color classification.
Are you saying you would still doubt Hylan threw parti's ??

Your right of course.
