| I never give an opinion unless asked. I believe you should never offer a newbie an opinion unless it's asked and then I ask are you sure you want mine? LOL....I will be nice but will not sugar coat my opinion. After I give it then I will let them know they should ask for another opinion because we will all have differences of opinion. I, also, would like to see the newbies ask the breeder/owners instead of handlers unless the handler is a breed specific handler as it is in Trish and Ken's case because most handlers will tell you what you want to hear for the most part (not in every case). You are so right about the Southern Hospitality in Texas....I am a newbie indeed and have been treated so sweet by so many of you! I heard you whooping and hollering too!!! That was one of the best days I have ever had!!! My life is so blessed because of the TX/OKC gang!!! This is a very competetive sport but when we are kind and supportive to all everyone wins!!!! I am so blessed to at least be a small part of this!!!! HUGS!!!!! Hope you make it to NYC tomorrow!!!

The entry fees are nothing. It would be great to find a buddy or two to do it with. It doesn't even have to be yorkie people. Another toy dog person. Even better, if you could help (mentor) someone starting out in return. Don't let your gifts go unused. Someone would love to have you helping. Even if your just riding together doing a show a month. They're new people that wouldn't mind paying that extra whatever and it wouldn't be a long term commitment for you. You wouldn't want to show against them. But they are there. Even if you had to take their dog in for them a few times to show them how. I'm willing to bet there is an area breeder that would like some help getting someone started. I'm not trying to pry. The economy has taken so much joy from people. I'd love you to get your butt back in the ring. I hear it in your posts. You don't have to finish one right away. Something good may happen. Just maybe. | |
