| "Animal Planet Interactive says: Thank you for your comment. We're sorry, but currently Animal Planet's Internet stream of the Westminster Dog Show is only available to viewers in Canada. 2/10/2009 5:03:49 PM" (Animal Planet - 2009 Westminster Kennel Club Dog Show) I guess that's why. Sorry about that.According to the discoverychannel.ca schedule, it should be showing in Canada at least on Saturday as well. For Canadian viewers, the stream is pretty decent quality even watching on full screen, it really went full screen, and didn't feel like I was watching the couple hours of it in youtube quality. What made it even better was how it loaded each following segment automatically for the entire show. It doesn't, however, show the individual breed competitions. |

| Thanks so much for posting this video. I really enjoyed watching it. We don't always get to see the particular breed showing on TV.

It's just a personal choice - if you wish to braid the hair in the back after you do the top knot you may. I think it looks so cute.

| Thanks so much, I hadn't seen and just think they are so gorgeous. For anyone new wanted to know what a good topline or what 'steel blue' looks like we should send them here. (Crystals blue was like that when she won her championship but it faded during her long life) I have to tell you I watched Monday and they were nice and I watched Tuesday and I'm not a sore loser but thought there was better choices in the toy group but I am not there feeling them, looking at teeth etc. and watching them show. At 9:30, I emailed Pat(Yorkie Rose) and my family and only mentioned one dog in the toy group and at the end of my email, I said in caps but did you see that Sussex Spaniel only other dog I mentioned in the email I had to brag a bit to my family anyway. That show is always just so exciting and makes us better dog owners but I love that they mention " You have your pure bred, now is time for a rescue"

Also, I saved the pic of the Yorkie. I'd never seen one in show coat that had been wrapped. Poor pup doesn't appear to be too comfortable

I am new to yorkies and I am fascinated with the breed. I missed the westminster show and cant WAIT to have time to watch the videos in this thread!!! Thank you so much to the people who posted them for us!! I love, love, love, this dog more than any other dog I have ever owned, (yes I think the others know I play favorites ) but they have so much character, it is very hard to remember they are dogs and not children. WHICH I gather is a trait among all yorkie owners.

I've had dogs all my life ... big ones, medium ones, pure-bred and mutts. I can't imagine my life without a dog. But I'm getting older ( ) and I wanted something smaller this time. Yorkies have always intrigued me, so I got one. Then I found out they're like potato chips: you can't just have ONE. So I got the second, a little girl. And it's all I can do to restrain myself from getting another - but I can't really do that.I love Yorkies. If I had started out with Yorkies, I doubt I would ever have had the others. They are spectacular little pets, and I can't imagine not having one til the end of my days.

*** To keep yorkie in the coat they are still showing right now is a tradition!!! (and up till now the only way to keep that coat in such a beautiful condition is to use wrappers!) That tradition wasn’t born yesterday… How can we disrespect the tradition?
