I have been very busy with the grooming shop and traveling and I haven't had a lot of time for forums but I did see this post and decided to share Doobies latest picture with you. We just got back from Canada where he finished his Championship in style.

Doobie was bred by Peggy Nygard and is owned by me.

His sire is Ch, Firacres Mariah Explosion
and his Dam is Mariah Montana Star Witness

Thanks to Peggy for allowing me and trusting me with this excellent boy.

So who ever wins the group gets as many points as many dogs in the group?
That day it was 4 dogs, so the winer get 3 points,
but usually in the Toy group 21 dogs, so who ever wins the group gets all 20 points?

Thanks for the nice posts about Doobie , we are very proud of him and how well he has done. He only has about a week left with his coat as he is going to be used at a grooming seminar where he will be cut down by one of the best groomers in the world. We will be excited to see how he is going to look and if it will be a better job than I can do myself......

I will try and remember to take my camera!!

Breed points are different than championship points. Breed points are used to determine the dogs ranking within the breed...this is how the top ten yorkies for the year are determined and the reason that dogs are specialed. Champioship points are the points awarded to winners dog and winners bitch within the breed. As for getting a major for going group 1, never heard of it so I found that very interesting.
