that is so funny. I tell ya these little creatures are strangeeeee. my thirteen week old puppies try to nurse their "Auntie kandy". the finniest part is that she lets them.

And perhaps her belly will get smaller, but perhaps she won't dry up, either. She's the same size as Bogey if you can tell from the pics. Bogey's 7 lbs, she's 13 because of her belly.

He's a very, very beautiful dog. Much more "yorkielike" thank Pixie ever dreamed of being. Not that Pix isn't adorable, but Bogey is very handsome. :p Hubby and I have even discussed that a few times... ;)

can you post a pic of his face? you have me wondering now. i guess I could do a search but I want to see him :)

Hah! Funny request considering I *just* took one this morning that I was going to post on here.... that shows his face ;) I'll upload it now. :D

I woke up curled up in a ball this morning. I realized Pixie was not by my tummy as she normally is, but that's about all I realized at first. Then I noticed a heavy weight at the foot of the bed....

I slowly sat up and looked, and this is what I saw... (good thing the camera was ready to go on the nightstand!)

i'm almost scared to suggest this cuz you would really have to do some heavy screening but have you tried craigslist? I rehomed a dog I found once and found a wonderful home for him on craigslist but I did have to filter through some "not so good" ones before finding the one that was right.

Just trying to think of all of your options...I am sure you have already posted something at the vet, right? I would go to all the local vets and post a flyer.

I have not heard anything more on my end but if I do, I will let you know. I feel bad that she hasn't even called you...I really expected that she would call you. I know she hasn't made up her mind 100% and that is probably why she hasn't called but I wish she would at least contact you and let you know where she stands.

I thought about craigslist - I figured I'd give it a shot and be extremely selective... I'll never post there again.
I got yelled at for trying to sell her. Someone told me that if I really did just rescue her, take her back where I got her from, surely they'd take her back, and who cares that it was a puppymill. Someone else yelled at me for bringing home a dog and not even having it a week and trying to rehome it - that maybe I should think more about the dog and less about making money from reselling her. Someone else told me if I'm going to say that I rescued her, I MUST get her fixed because some california law says that rescue ORGANIZATIONS must fix all animals (and I'm not an organization, but that apparently didn't matter to them), and then after I spend another $150 on top of what I've spent, I can only offer her for $25. Heck, if I was going to give her away for $25 to whoever wanted her, she'd be in no better place than she was before. And if no one wants her for the $250 I've spent (really over that now, but not raising the price), I *definitely* don't want to spend any more on her than I have to, it's not like I have the money to do anything anyway considering my circumstances. Anyway... no, bad idea. Never posting there again. It's just a bunch of inconsiderate fools who don't give a crap about dogs.

Oh and one who said I should have just fixed her and offered her for the price of fixing her... forget any other problems that she had. Like I want Pixie and Bogey to get earmites because they think fixing Angel is more important than treating her and getting her healthy? And what if she'd had mastitis? Just fix her and let the infection spread? And many more emails not even mentioned here....

OMG I am so sorry...I had none of those issues. I can't believe they were like that to you. poor thing. well, I don't blame you, I wouldn't post there again either :)

I post all of my rental property there and had posted the 1 dog there that I had rescued but I have never been yelled at like that. People can be real jerks. I bet you were upset...I'm sorry.

well, they are all crazy...you have done a great thing and I admire all that you have done so far. don't let them get to you!!

I'm just glad that I have YT - people who UNDERSTAND that I'm just trying to help Angel. People who support me getting her heatlhy and into a good, permanent home. People who actually love the dogs, not just stuck up idiots ;) I was pretty upset from CraigsList, but I was comforted knowing that there's still YT so there's still hope.

i dont think anyone here things anything other than how wonderful you are for saving this baby. this really is a great place and hopefully someone here can help you find her a great home.

You could also put up posters at the vets and at the shelters. Ask vet and selters if they know of anone that is looking and I would really try and see if the shelter would fix her befor she goes to the new home. So some one else don't start breeding her. they may do it really cheap or free.

No, she's been taking care of her mom. Said she didn't have time to meet me, and I offered to help get her down there some other way (YT train maybe), but I haven't heard back from her. That seems to be the norm ;)
I'm interested, I think I want her, so I'm not gonna call ya back :p
Just kidding, I know she's busy, and I know your aunt hasn't made up her mind :p
