| Looking for a Yorkie Rescue- So Cal Aloha, I joined YT today for 2 reasons, 1st my adult hi-functioning Autistic brother is looking for a small rescue dog and one of his doctors mentioned YORKIES. Since I have and always have had Huskies I jumped right on the internet to start my research... In my search on google a link to YT and mention of Collier Ranch Yorkies came up, I found this very interesting as I know KC & have had several miscommunications with her just like MANY of the ones I read here today. From personal knowledge I can say MOST of the things she said is utterly FALSE! It was so refreshing to see her called out on her HABIT of creating several different FAKE profiles/personas, used to give herself accolades, defend herself as someone else & not have to provide facts, improve her ratings, to monitor in stealth mode & her (again) habit of deflecting & attacking! After I saw how the YT community dealt with her with logic, reason & tact, I KNEW THIS WAS THE FORUM I would get good, honest information, not someone only with an ulterior motive. Also help with educating my brother and myself and finding good resources to help my brother find his perfect rescue!! I look forward to speaking with everyone & I extend thanks to all in advance for any and all assistance! |

| Hello and welcome to YT! We love YT and all of the information that this wonderful site has to offer. There are several rescues in S. Cali that are reputable rescue. My suggestion would be check Pet adoption: Want a dog or cat? Adopt a pet on Petfinderto begin. There are several members of YTNR that are members here on YT that are foster homes as well. Here is a link to their site as well. Looking for a New Home... I hope you stick around are join our YT community.

| thank you... just a threat for posting on here.. I went to the link, I thought it was perfect, but my brother is in a condo (1190 sq ft).. it is a 1 story end condo , but only fenced with wrought iron.. they asked for a fenced back yard....though there is a doggie park close by, although they say they have not been around small children and I do bring my 2 1/2 year old granddaughter around to visit?! Thank you so much for your help and research to find that!! |

| Welcome to YT and good luck with your search for a rescued yorkie. I would advise you to report all threats to the admin. I would further suggest that you not post drama here from another site. It is not something most of us are interested in.

| I never heard back from the people from the above link with the 2 pups needing to go together but the other link you provided me Petfinder.com has been wonderful!! I made some calls on a few of them, haven't heard back yet, but I am anxious. Now my brothers doctor mentioned yorkies because of his allergies I guess and because they are very loving, therapeutic and "huggable" as the doctor said. The petfinder.com site has some "Mixed" yorkie breeds and I am just curious if anyone can advise me on what I should be looking for, to be therapeutic, easy on his allergies and not a breed that is too anxious around small children as my almost 3 yr old granddaughter does come by to visit him a couple times a week with me. After the information on how to care for your yorkie, I figure I will have to find a good groomer nearby, just to make sure it gets done properly.. Again I appreciate your help & I look forward to finally being able to share pics when he finalizes his adoption! Take Care Hope you're all having a wonderful day! |
