Here is the latest update!

The procedure went well. We will not know the results for at least 3 weeks when she goes back for a follow up; but the opthamologist feels it will go well. Attaching a pic of her on the way home.

I usually try to stay out of "controversial" threads on this forum, but I do find it rather odd that someone having been so supportive and helpful as LadyJane has been to most of us, has been suspended for such a long while. If it was due to a thread that some considered a particular pup was being either neglected or abused, I think it would be very hard for LJ not to strongly voice her opinion on what should be done about the pup. That is what she does - she has devoted her life to saving these little Yorkies...and she does not just write about it on a forum - she lives it every day by transporting these pups back and forth to the vets, to rehab, to the groomers and whatever else they may need. I have seen it first hand. It is the readers of this forum that will suffer in her absence...personally, I find very little reason to sign on without knowing that the people we can trust will no longer be allowed on. I hope she will be "allowed" back soon.

I just noticed this thread! LJ and I had been PMing about expressing Gabby, before the suspension. I had been wondering how that was going, but I'm hoping she got the hang of it now!

Thanks for the update on Gabby. I feel so sad for her every time I see her poor eye. I hope she is in no pian, it looks like it would hurt so much. Poor baby. Prayers still continue for her.

Thank you so much for the update, Steve. I've been out of town, but didn't stop thinking of, or praying for Gabby.

She looks good, except her poor little eye looks sore. God bless her, and God bless Linda, for her love & compassion!

Gabby is such a trooper. These little ones can teach us humans a lot. No matter the adversity, they carry on and even smile as Gabby is doing in the picture.

Gabby is doing fine! I believe the med is working...her eye does look a bit less swollen. She goes back in two weeks to see the opthamologist.

She had a terrible weekend last week with her bowels again. I had her evaluated again by the vet...lab results all normal. We are thinking it is stress colitis. It also could be from her not eliminating fully since I do have to express her bowels; but there is no bacterial overgrowth so not sure it is that. She is on probiotics just in case. For now I have stopped physical therapy. The week before it happened she was all over the house and went to PT three times. I am thinking it may have been too much. She has not tried to walk since. The past two days she did stand for a few minutes, so hopefully she is feeling better again. It really is trial and error right now.
