| I am waiting for Lisa's call. I dont know if she was able to get in contact with the owner or the girl who knows the owner. I really wish I could get this little boy out of this situation. I know once he is stable, gained some weight. He would be easy to place IF he has no serious underlying health issues. I am not looking for another yorkie to keep. I just received an email for another free yorkie. Tiny guy, 2 yrs old and weighs under 4 lbs. Adorable. He is getting neutered and ready to go next week. I contacted a friend of mine who has been helping with Cookie's search and she is taking him! So another Yorkie that has been given to me, I found him a very loving home. I feel soooo bad for this little guy being kept in a carrier bag all day long. I just wish I could knock some sense into these type of people!! Gen

| Apparantly not since Cookie has come on and said that the dog is not being given up? IDK. I think that is what she's saying but then when I asked her she said she's waiting to here back from Lisa. This whole thing is messed up and very frustrating. And, started getting way off track with the whole it may be so and so's lost dog. I'm really sorry about her dog being lost and I truly hope he is found but bringing it into threads everytime a dog is found is taking away from the dog that needs help. It may be better for people who think that it may be Cookie to PM her privately. Again, not being fresh just making a suggestion. I hope someone helps this dog. He needs IMMEDIATE HELP and I can't stress that enough. Again, I'm willing to help locate a reputable rescue which I really believe is better then just placing him again with someone else that may not be able to give him what he needs. Elaine |

I would report him to the HS, ASPCA or police dept and get him out of there. If you know for sure a dog is being abused, which he is, do something to help him! | |

| That's true. I thought the original owner was actively looking for a new home for the pup. I guess they have to convince to release him?

| I dont find this thread strange or confusing. someone wanted to give away a Yorkie. someone else posted it here in hopes to get it healthy and a loving home. But the owners keep changing their mind. one min wanting to keep him the next not wanting too. The OP cant update the thread if the owners dont update her. Gen and a few others have offered to take the dog in and foster it. a few others thought of poor lost cookie and being the same size and from the same area thought maybe it was Cookie. no harm in bringing it to Gens attention or posting it may be her lost Yorkie. I would rather mention it and it not be then to have that thought and not mention it and it be him. |

| I said I would drive down to Florida...pick up the dog...and "keep" him and do whatever is necessary...but know one has contacted me.....so maybe she isn't giving him up.

| From what I understand this is the situation. Lisa (the original poster: her friend told her about this situation where this tiny yorkie was bought several months ago. The owner ended up realizing that she could not handle the responsibility and gave him to a family. After 2 months this family returnedthe yorkie back to the original owner. Now the original owner has him back again and he spends most of the day in a carrier. He's been at her job with her in a carrier. She has said several times that she cant keep him anymore. So this is where Lisa posts here that this little guy needs a home asap. She is not the owner of this yorkie. She cant keep him in her apartment because of pet rules and she already has 2. I think if the yorkie was taken in by Lisa or someone else then this situation would not be so complicated. I dont know what else to say. I will call Lisa tomorrow and ask if she has heard anything on the status of this yorkie. I dont know about calling the SCPA or Animal control. They are not just going to remove him so easily. IF he is so underweight then they might take him. But usually they want to see if he has food bowls with food and water. Where he sleeps... What you see on TV is not the same as what happens in reality. I will try my best to get in contact with Lisa tomorrow. IF I can even get her to find the owner's contact info I will contact the owner myself. I am not going to call this woman and tell her off or lecture her about these little yorkies. My goal is to get him out of there as smoothly as possible. Gen
