| I just got off the phone with Lisa. She seems pretty sure this yorkie is about 7 months old. It wont be easy getting this yorkie out of this very sad situation. The owner has him way too many hours in that carrier and the dog is in its poop until taken out. He's about 2 lbs and very underweight. The owner gave him to a family and the yorkie was returned to her after 2 months and now he's back in the carrier. I begged her to keep me updated and she will call me as soon as she can get in contact with them. I let her know that even if this is not Cookie, I will volunteer to go get him out of there and foster him for a while. Trust me that baby will not go to just anyone. Give her some time to try and get in contact with these people. That is why she has not replied here yet. Please pray for this little guy. Gen

| At seven months old it would be extremely easy for ANY rescue to place this guy in a loving home. Is There Any Rescues that can help? I have to leave for work but will try and locate someone. Is there anyway that the poster could take him and keep him if only for a week until I can locate someone to take him? Elaine |

| Taking him is not the problem. The problem is if the current owner changes his/her mind and doesnt want to give him up. I can be there in a minute if needed to go get him. I know he could be placed in a loving home but he needs some vet care and gain some weight before he is placed. I would not risk putting this baby on a plane. It's sort of this type of thing: I cant keep him anymore, its too much work etc.... but she's not actually giving him up yet. So let's see. I know a yorkie rescue here but they are SWAMPED at the moment and that's why I would definitely volunteer a few weeks of fostering him. I hope she gets in contact with that owner SOOOOOOOON! Gen

| Gen, so sorry it wasn't Cookie. Like so many of us here, I was hoping it was. I hope this little guy will be surrendered & get the medical care he needs & find a loving forever home.

| I only joined YT last week and saw this post. I have been researching a good breeder to purchase a Yorkie but I do have experience with rescues. My current dog (not a Yorkie) is a rescue. Anyway, I live in Port St Lucie and I would be more than happy to discuss the placement of this poor little boy in my home. I actually was looking for a rescue but was having no luck. I really want a Yorkie to join my family. I do not work so I would be home to help this poor little guy become a happy, healthy puppy.....Pat |
