I feel so bad for him though, sitting in that awful shelter. I really, really do not want him to die there. So what can I do help ~ I am so sad for him

I feel awful as well. I did email them to ask how bad it is.....I might be able to get him boarded here but that would only be until July 4th because they will need that space. I have not heard back from them. I don't want to call and bother them...I know they are busy. I am praying hard...and hope everyone does. I am very hopeful someone in LA will still take him. He is adorable and will be great once treated. He does not have anything incurable. As soon as I hear anything, I will let you know!

| Thanks Trina, lol! We have been spelling your name wrong! Sorry, you are so kind to have stepped in for these sweet little things. Let us know when they get home with you, and if the shelter lets you have a look at Tevo, tell him to hang in there.

| Yes, Please find out about him. He seemed to be the worse out of the three. PLEASE IF THERE IS A RESCUE THAT CAN TAKE HIM. I'm in NJ there is nothing I can do or I would take him The mange is curable. Our rescue had one with no hair with the mange and she is doing wonderful now. PLEASE SOMEONE. He just broke my heart. If they do have to put him down PLEASE someone stay close and hold him and let him know that at least one person cared and loved him. He does not look as though he's ever had anyone in his life that cared. Elaine Last edited by jrsygal37; 06-10-2009 at 12:34 PM. |

| It sounded like Trina might be willing to take Tevo as well if the rescue group doesn't get him. Did anyone else get that impression? I'm praying so hard for this little guy.

Elaine I feel sick about him as well and would take him in a hearbeat if I could. I just spoke with Trena and she is going to call someone to see if maybe we can get him boarded and treated in LA...then moved here for HW treatment. I am sure we could take him in as a YHR pup if we could do that...or I would even pay for his boarding and treatment. I just cannot take him in at my home...it is not set up for that. It is curable and no, you do not die, but I cannot have all of my pups with it which is what would happen. You have to have a way to keep them apart and just keep linens away and all...it is not impossible but I have quite a few pups and some are special needs and I just physically cannot do it. I have been on the phone with a lot of ppl and sending out emails. I don't know what else to do.

| Bernie is HOME!! Good Afternoon! I am happy to let you guys know that Bernie (nka Tucker) is home and a love bug!! He is the cutest little guy and my daughters are already fighting over whose pup he is! Tucker has a few sores, etc that are probably from his time on the streets. I do have him in a make shift separate area in my house, away from my other Yorkies until we can get him fully vetted. Which his apt is on Tuesday afternoon. I am thinking I am going to call and beg my vet to see him sooner. The great news on Stewie is he is coming home on Tuesday!! He is not neutered. So his apt is on Tuesday to be neutered and then he can come to his furever home! We haven't changed his name yet, but once my daughters see him, I am sure they will come up with something! Stewie was shaved down and his skin, etc looks fine, where as Bernie (Tucker) does see to have very dry skin. I am anxious to get both to the vet and so they can also have full run of the house, once I see their potty skills! I will be checking back on Tevo, and will ask my vet if he can board him for Linda and then get him to her rescue group! Everyone say a prayer that this can work out for Tevo! I really do wish I could take him too, but I had to make the best decision for my family!! Have a good night!! Trina

Linda. I know you would take him. This was not intended to make you feel any worse then you do. He just breaks my heart. I'll help in any way. I know right now too he's too sick to even transport to another state etc. or I would try and work something out here. Elaine

No, I believe he could be transported. The problem is that he could not fly because no vet would give him the needed paperwork with the scabies. It would have to be by car.

| I have wonderful news!!! I was sitting today actually in tears over Tevo and a little bell went off in my head. I called a person I know whose hubby is a vet and asked if YHR paid for it, if he could board Tevo and treat him for the sarcoptic mange. He agreed to do so! Once his mange is cleared up, I will be taking him in for the heartworm treatment. I just got off the telephone with Trina (bless her heart) and she is going to call the shelter in the morning to make arrangements to pick Tevo up. She is then going to meet me on Saturday halfway between LA and TX!! So....sleep well everyone, Tevo is going to be safe! I know I will be sleeping now! I was just horrified all day and knew I would never get his darling face out of my mind if he was not saved.
