Really people this is the problem when you become involved with rescues and why so many folks DO NOT adopt animals from rescues..... Because none of us can get along!!!!!!! I would like to say tha I have NOT adopted from petsneedingpeople however I really feel that by being jugde, jury etc of another group that finds homes for pets that need it you are only hurting the animals. All of us in the animals/rescue/shelter ets community need to find a way to get along with each other. Can you imagine the possibilities and what we can accomplish with all of our combined knowledge and expiriences????????

Hello everyone!

Yep, I just joined today also. The link to this discussion was posted on Diane's forum for Pets Needing People. I was torn if I should just ignore this thead or reply, so obviously, I decided I had to add my two cents.

Sadly, this thread turned very hostile and accusatory and CASE CLOSED seems to equal CLOSE MINDED. I adopted from Diane 9 months ago and like you I was skeptical as I found the same sites and information that you had on the web. But you know what I did? I joined HER FORUM and got information from past adopters and Diane herself. Her forum is very active and you can see for your self it has had over 146 posted in a week and almost 200 members, not bad for a rescue.

Just like your forum, it is FREE to join, so as people from Diane's forum are following this thread, I ask you NOT to join yorkietalk, especially Diane, how dare they accuse someone, call them a scam, and then ask them join and explain yourself! I think your thought process is a bit backwards.

If the yorkietalk people are truly interested in learning about the rescue, let them join Diane's forum, which should have happened before the Salem Witch hunt started. As anyone who has interacted with Diane, knows she is a straightshooter and you get blunt, honest answers.

The saddest part of all this is that the people who jumped to erroneous conclusions, are now wasting my time, Petfinder's time, and other's time, when every one of us just wants to find good homes for well-deserving dogs.

My last point, if you had joined her forum you would get updates about the dozens of dogs she has rescued from kill shelters around her area and beyond. Just reading how many animals she saves in one week, much less one month just is amazing and makes me want to do more, hence the reason why I decided to reply.

Here's hoping to a more compassionate future for humans and animals!

My name is Amy and our family adopted a beautiful little goldendoodle from Diane over a month ago. Molly is the light of our life! We, too, were hesitant to adopt from someone another state and were concernced scams or a puppy mill situation. Needless to say, it was a fantastic experience!! We applied to 2 different rescues here in AZ. It took 8 weeks to even get a reply from one of them. Not only that, but both rescues wanted $800 to $1,200 for a puppy.

We felt much better after joining the yahoo forum and seeing all the wonderful photos and things people had to say about the dogs they have adopted over time. Diane was very informative and kept us in the loop at all times. She also has helped with advice after getting our little girl home.

Yes, I came to this forum as a result of reading other people talking about it on our forum. That is kind of what people do...talk through their forums. I am NOT Diane pretending to be someone else. I am pianist in the Army with over 20 years stationed with the 36th Army Band at Fort Huachuca.

My husband and I had been wanting to add a dog to our family for years but waited until we are at the end of our careers in order to provide a stable and loving home for one. My husband retired last fall and we have been looking for the right fit for our family since. This search included local shelters all the way up to rescues all over the US. We wanted a dog mixed with a poodle due to our daughter's allergies. We also wanted a puppy so our kitties (ages 10 and 3) hopefully wouldn't feel as intimidated. So far, so good.

I just wanted to add my two cents to this conversation. Whether you want to take it as food for thought or ridicule me, is up to you. If you would like to see pics of our beautiful Molly, I can send some. We intend to adopt another dog (an adult) when we are ready and will definitely be looking at petsneedingpeople as a resource.

We as rescuers have the responsibility to help other rescues, provide support and in these hard times when so many animals are being dumped, adandoned, negleted,adused,overbreed etc we all need to stand united as one whole rescue and stop judging others.

I do not appreciate the tone of your post. We do not condemn one another here in this way. This thread has only discussed the possibility of who Diane is and what her business is. No one has said they were out to shut her down, as you suggest. Rather, it was a peaceful discussion about the red flags over what is a rescue and the ability to advertise on Petfinder.

Please, we enjoy our new members, but even when we disagree, we try to treat one another with respect. YT is not some random board or forum - we are a community, a family. Many of us know each other - have met in person, talk over the phone, have been customers of each other, etc.

We welcome you here, but do not judge who we are either.,
