Hey guys,
im at work so i have to be brief.
pls some one call the kill shelter and rescue.. it would be ideal if the rescue will take her from me. i cannot keep her right now.pls if you know anyone that will take her let me know

I just tried to call them, but got a recording Bummer!
So I emailed them and asked about her status, health, size, etc..So if they write me back and anyone is interested, I can tell them the info. Size shouldn't matter, but it does to some people. That's why I asked.

I would so go get her if I could. I almost think you have to be a FL resident to adopt her. It says you have to have a FL DL or ID.

I am a FL resident with a FL drivers lisence...let me know what she says. I hope shes been adopted already but I can rescue if need be provided YT has helped me rehome her or if the other yorkie rescue can take her.

I called yesterday, they had two females and one male, the guy on the phone told me that they many people had called for them, but they were not ready to be released, and had no other information.Today and checked before going and they were not there anymore, at least on their web site( www.miamidade.gov/animals)This is not the first time that happens to me with a yorkie at this shelter, I think they have either friends, or , I hate to say it, money under the table, the boy's pic. is still there

The number on their website has a recorded message for the last few days, you have to call 311, it takes forever, but that's the # to call.

As I said....the only yorkie rescue that I am aware of in that area refuses to take any dogs from that shelter.
Their excuse is that they are all sick and the shelter is dirty.
The shelters here are not all clean and we pull anyway. Standard procedure for ANY rescue is to quarantine a dog until it is ok to be with others....they must be evaluated prior to exposing them to others.
The other thing is that not EVERY dog is going to get sick in a shelter...with parvo and distemper. Many have had their shots.
That to me is simply an excuse not to pull from Miami Dade. But..I have tried in the past to get that through to others to no avail.
I would be happy to help, but as I said, I am in TX. We do not have FL members.
Some of you might want to look on Petfinder and email the yorkie rescues in the Miami area directly and ask them IF they can help!!

If you go to their site, the two girls are not there anymore, even though they told me yesterday, they were not ready to be adopted yet, but the boy however is still available, at least, is on their site

Maybe the all breed rescue that works with them took them...I surely hope so!

I will try to call again tomorrow and see what they say. Maybe I'll get an email by then, but I am kind of doubting it.

Hopefully she's in a good place by now. Hmmm, now I'm off to see about the little boy.

home from work now.... its only 930 now (13 hour day ugh) so there is also a male... let me know if i can help with him in any way. im off on weekends.

mypeanut-- its been troubling me all day to know this lil furbaby was out there in a kill shelter

poor thing. I hope she and the boy are both adopted out to wonderful homes.

I checked their site now and I don't see the boy,I'm sure they either work with a rescue or have the contact for people that want specific breeds, I check them several times during the day, every day, and sometimes you see dogs for 2 weeks, and others, like yorkies, that don't last, not only that, they told me that this girl was not ready to be adopted yet, that was yesterday!and today she is gone, both girls and now the boy.I just hope they found good homes.
