mypeanut-- its been troubling me all day to know this lil furbaby was out there in a kill shelter poor thing. I hope she and the boy are both adopted out to wonderful homes.

Here is a female they have listed on their site right now www.Petharbor.com Animal Search: ALL This DOG - ID#A1109872 says she was brought in on 11/14.

I saw her listed last night, she got to the shelter yesterday, I was there early this morning before they open, I put a hold on her before I even got to see her, the lady at the front desk told me that this girl has had two shots already, did not tell me which ones, and she would be ready to be adopted by the 20th.I waited until 10 when they open the doors to see the dogs, and could not find her, she is been kept in a restricted area were can not be seen, until their vet, gives the ok. After talking to every single employee that has some saying there, I had to leave without seen her.I was still on the road when I received a call from them, telling me that it would take longer for her to be released, if she ever would, since she is "aged" as they say,(not because she is old, but because she may have some health problems) she may not be suitable to be adopted, when I asked what do they do with her, the lady say, either a rescue, or she will be PTS , I asked to foster her during this process, but they just say NO.So at this point I'm just waiting, they don't seem to eager to help these poor animals

Grrrrr!! That makes no sense! That should be up to you as whether you think she's adoptable and you're willing to take her on.
Something sounds fishy about them not even letting you see her!
I hope you'll keep calling them and following up. I'd love to hear the outcome.

Really!!!! what is wrong with them. Isnt there a rescue that can take them? Can they really hold them like that? Poor dogs

I called today, to find out their protocol for rescues to pull dogs out, are you ready for this??? the lady that answered the phone told me that they did not have anybody there named Protocol...!!!!!!! I was so mad, but started laughing, the one getting upset was the lady, I guess she thought I was laughing at her, ...I really was..
I had told a YT member trying to help, and forgot to mentioned here, they called me yesterday afternoon to let me know, that the girl was 10 y/o, had cataract in both eyes, some kind of retina problem, and kidneys as well, the first person having a hold on her (which I did not know about)decided to cancel once she/he found out, there is another person before me, so let see what happens tomorrow, today there was no one there who could give info.(that includes Mr.Protocol too, LOL)

I adopted my labrador Rocky from them, and I did have to wait a few days before taking him home, I really don't know if it is a standard procedure to have them isolated from the rest, when they first get there, it does sound reasonable, but I had my heart set on getting this girl out of there, and just don't know why they did not let me see her, I wonder if she is already out with the other dogs I've been thinking about the weather, temperature is dropping, for us anyways, even thou they are indoors, but those stainless steel cages are so cold...

Oh good grief. That is scary that people can be that clueless and answer phones. Thank you for your persistance in trying to help this poor little baby.
