The shelters here are not all clean and we pull anyway. Standard procedure for ANY rescue is to quarantine a dog until it is ok to be with others....they must be evaluated prior to exposing them to others.
The other thing is that not EVERY dog is going to get sick in a shelter...with parvo and distemper. Many have had their shots.
That to me is simply an excuse not to pull from Miami Dade. But..I have tried in the past to get that through to others to no avail.
I would be happy to help, but as I said, I am in TX. We do not have FL members.
Some of you might want to look on Petfinder and email the yorkie rescues in the Miami area directly and ask them IF they can help!!
