| 6 Silky Yorkies rescued from puppy mill need foster homes - please pass on I received a telephone call today from a friend of mine at my previous law firm who is involved in animal rescue groups. The group just rescued six Silky Yorkies from a puppy mill and are looking for foster homes until they can be placed in permanent homes. The group first takes them to the vet to have all of their medical needs taken care of - at their expense. Then, it is my understanding that they will either fly or transport the Yorkie directly to the foster home. They will then endeavor to find permanent homes for these rescued Yorkies. If the group cannot find foster homes as soon as possible, the Yorkies will have to be put down. These Yorkies were rescued from a puppy mill in Missouri. If you are interested or know of anyone who might be willing to open their home to one of these little ones, on a temporary basis, please let me know at your earliest opportunity. Thank you so much. |

| Where at in Missouri? I live within 30 minutes of the St. Louis border and would be happy to help! I wouldn't mind driving that far to help out some sweeties! Plus, I know an excellent groomer who has been looking for a rescue york.

| Yorkie rescue You are all wonderful people. I will make sure my friend provides me the information and lets her know of your interest. I would take one in a minute, but we already have 20 creatures on our 6 acres out here in the country. My husband and I could never turn one away and are sickened at the horror that some of these poor things have been through. In fact, we just took in a medium sized chocolate lab two weeks ago. There's a pond up the road from us on some abandoned property. Three teenage girls who live across the street noticed that a man in a pickup truck drove down to the pond, stayed there an hour and then left - leaving this dog behind. Well, needless to say, people around here know how we are and the girls brought the dog down to us. It was obvious that she just had puppies and had been abused by the way she would cower when you just tried to pet her. She was starving but we've got her in good health now and she's part of the family. I'm certain the man who stayed down by the pond for an hour and then left her most probably drown her pups. I will never understand the cruelty that so many people inflict on animals that depend on us for their very lives. She has just been an angel and we love her up every chance we get - as we do all of our little creatures |

| I'll gladly foster one of the females. Prefer a more submissive female as I have an alpha in the house. I live in NJ and I volunteer with a rescue here in NJ. Perhaps, our rescue would help out. Either way, if they want to transport to NJ I will foster one. My rescue though I'm sure if you transport will take a few in. Elaine |
