| Donating YT 2000 Club Member | Thanks Cindy for your help and suggestions. She has had all of her vacccinations, heart worm, etc. The behaviorial issue is potty training which hangs up a lot of folks, it seems. She has been here 24 hours now and has used the peepee pad all day. After the vet clearance, she was introduced to the older dogs and played with them all day fully supervised. She followed them to but not through the doggie door yesterday. By dinner time, the shyness has disappated and her tail went up and we saw some nice interactions. between her and the dogs. She is still isolated from the litter as are the rest of the dogs. The breeder and I have been in constant discussion. |

| Donating YT 2000 Club Member | Today she learned the doggie door and I have not seen any accidents. We took new pictures today after grooming her. She is much more confident today and much more playful. I will post pictures again tomorrow. |

| Donating YT 2000 Club Member | I want to thank all of the great folks on YT who inquired about the puppy, the puppy's welfare, and possible placement of the puppy. Not all dog lovers are large dog people. Not all dog lovers are small dog people. Not everyone likes cats and/or dogs. Breeders are not perfect; nor are the buyers. Sometimes, we buy something in a store, take it home and it doesn't fit, or it is the wrong color. Sometimes we buy something and we make it try to fit a need or want and it is wrong--and no matter how much we want it to be right, or perfect, it just isn't. The buyers of this puppy chose to give her up because she didn't fit. True, maybe they should have somehow known that a small dog wasn't part of their lifestyle but they thought they could make it work, they could make it fit. The breeder checked the family's references, talked to the vet, talked to members' of the Kennel club the family belongs to and they came highly recommended. The children are school aged and used to being around big dogs (that start out smaller as puppies), minature horses, cats, and rabbits. I know this was a hard decision for this family. I have read on YT many times, how one of you feel when you decide to rehome, give back or sell a member of your family. I saw the father's tears and the children's tears when they brought me the puppy. Now this breeder, like me, has a clause in her contract that says the dog can be returned for any reason; it cannot be sold, placed, given away without notifying the breeder. And the buyer did what the breeder asked--contacted me because I am nearer to him than she is. The puppy wasn't placed in a shelter or given away because this family was honest. (And having worked for CPS let me tell you there have been parents, that would give the system their children in a heartbeat......) I was given the opportunity to find a new home for this puppy and in the process learned a lot about the generosity, good-naturedness, and willingness to help on this forum. Those that chose to be ugly or insinuate any other actions, are the same folks that continue to do this on this forum. There is a saying about making assumptions. Thank you again. |

| I hope this little one finds a good home. That being said, I have a quick "off topic" question. Can Biewer's be AKC registered? I'm trying to tell the a Parti from a Biewer (who doesn't really look like I think a Parti should look) and thought I had seen that Biewer's can't be AKC registered.... so... I have to assume (though I know I shouldn't in most cases) that if the pup I'm looking at IS AKC registered, she is indeed a Parti Yorkie.... (or at least a decent knock-off... DNA can tell the rest! ha! ![]() I'm not getting her, because regardless, she doesn't have what I'm looking for... but want to know the facts before I "confront" this person... Thanks!

| Dee~ she's really a beauty! I really wanted a girlie dog, and she would have been amazing here, but now I have my little Madison.....I have my hands full, LOL. it's so wonderful that the people realized early on that it just was a mistake (we ALL make them), and I'm sure that it wasn't just an off the cuff decision for them. Sometimes you think about things and think you've covered all the ifs/ands/buts.....but it's so different when you're adding to your family dynamics. So, I applaud them for that and the breeder too....it's not easy for someone to feel confident that they've placed a living being in the perfectly balanced, wonderful home and then have to take them back when they're a little older and try to find another PERFECT home for them. I can't imagine how disappointed you'd be! It's obvious that you LOVE the Biewers and are committed to them, no matter WHOSE they are (although you know this person). I don't think I would question anything that you feel is appropriate nor would I question anyone that you feel good about. I think your love and passion is clearly evident and if I ever get to a point where I can add to my Yorkie family, you'll be the first place I turn. I know you'll find a phenomenal home for the little sweetheart!
