I want to thank all of the great folks on YT who inquired about the puppy, the puppy's welfare, and possible placement of the puppy.

Not all dog lovers are large dog people. Not all dog lovers are small dog people. Not everyone likes cats and/or dogs.

Breeders are not perfect; nor are the buyers. Sometimes, we buy something in a store, take it home and it doesn't fit, or it is the wrong color. Sometimes we buy something and we make it try to fit a need or want and it is wrong--and no matter how much we want it to be right, or perfect, it just isn't.

The buyers of this puppy chose to give her up because she didn't fit. True, maybe they should have somehow known that a small dog wasn't part of their lifestyle but they thought they could make it work, they could make it fit.

The breeder checked the family's references, talked to the vet, talked to members' of the Kennel club the family belongs to and they came highly recommended. The children are school aged and used to being around big dogs (that start out smaller as puppies), minature horses, cats, and rabbits.

I know this was a hard decision for this family. I have read on YT many times, how one of you feel when you decide to rehome, give back or sell a member of your family. I saw the father's tears and the children's tears when they brought me the puppy.

Now this breeder, like me, has a clause in her contract that says the dog can be returned for any reason; it cannot be sold, placed, given away without notifying the breeder. And the buyer did what the breeder asked--contacted me because I am nearer to him than she is. The puppy wasn't placed in a shelter or given away because this family was honest. (And having worked for CPS let me tell you there have been parents, that would give the system their children in a heartbeat......)

I was given the opportunity to find a new home for this puppy and in the process learned a lot about the generosity, good-naturedness, and willingness to help on this forum.

Those that chose to be ugly or insinuate any other actions, are the same folks that continue to do this on this forum. There is a saying about making assumptions.

Thank you again.
