| ![]() We have one upstairs and one on the main floor. We have two because Mojo was trained on the main floor and Lily is mainly upstairs with Katelyn. I wash both together and while they are washing, I put down the disposable ones....course, I am getting two more, so I can keep a fabric one down and eliminate the disposable ones. I have the black ones and you don't know if they used it or not unless you catch it pretty soon after they do it.....once it is dried on the black, you can't see it. Now, on Lily's blue one (light blue) you can see it even after it dries. But I think they dry pretty quick...I guess I have never touched it afterwards. I am a cleaning freak and they get washed quiet often...but I have let them go about a week or so without washing and didn't notice a bad smell or anything......but I normally get them washed before a week goes by. AND they hold up great in the washer......I just hang to dry them. (I don't know why, maybe Nancy said that??) Ohhh....Mojo is a picky little guy....He hates smells, but both of them will use the same pad....so I am thinking they dry pretty fast.

I usually change mine every day. Of course I have 6 yorkies. I use one pad in the puppy pen, one in my office where the girls usually stay and if it is raining I put one in the kitchen where the boys stay because even though they have a doggie door, they don't like to go in the rain. You know how that goes ![]() It usually soaks up pretty quickly. That is why I get the 100% cotton fabric. But even those fabrics are not all equally as absorbent. I test them after I prewash them and if it doesn't soak in quickly I don't use it. I have a bag of cute fabrics that I bought that didn't pass the test that I will have to think of something to make out of them. It seems that all the cutest fabrics have a finish on them that repels liquids! ![]()

You can dry them in the dryer. I just would avoid the very high heats. I usually use medium or medium low. I would not use bleach as it can weaken the fabrics and probably affect the leakproof barrier. Bleach substitutes would probably be okay, but so far I haven't had to use them. Everything has come out fine.

I usually change them daily, but I have been known to leave one down for a few days at a time if it get busy and it doesn't look too soiled. If you only have one dog it would probably be good for longer before you wash it. It depends on personal preferences, yours and the dogs. Some dogs won't go on a pad if they have used several times until you wash it, and some don't care one way or the other. Some only poo on one pad and only pee on another. It's just whatever works best for you and your dog.

| ![]() I just had to give a brief update. When Gizmo woke up this morning, he bypassed the pee pad we have in our master bathroom and whined at the closed bedroom door. Then, he bypassed the pad in the living room and immediately went all the way to the other side of the house to use the new one Nancy made!!! OMGosh I am so impressed! ![]() In addition, I couldn't see the stain from last night at all this morning! ![]()

| ![]() The first fabric pictured here has sold out. number 26 compressed.JPG The other fabrics are still available for now, though some are running quite low. If you have your heart set on one in particular let me know as soon as possible. Thanks for your great response!
