Washable Potty Pads Sale!! 4 Attachment(s) Washable Potty Pads are now on sale for only $10 each plus shipping. I got some new fabrics today! Attachment 146110 Attachment 146111 Attachment 146113 Attachment 146116 You can see the rest of my fabric choices here: http://s165.photobucket.com/albums/u...#37;20Samples/ These are made from reclaimed underpads that hospitals use that I have put new 100% cotton tops on. The fabrics are prewashed and tested for absorbency before I use them. They are very absorbent and big aproximately 30 inches x 34 inches. They have an excellent waterproof barrier that doesn't leak! |
Nancy, I really like your new fabrics! I'm looking forward to trying the one I ordered from you with Gizmo. Those disposable ones are getting pricey. I think these look so much nicer too! :D |

PM'd you. If you just PM me what fabric/fabrics you want and your zip code (so I can figure out the postage) I can send you a paypal invoice or let me know if you would like to pay another way. I don't charge extra for the paypal fees and the postage is whatever the post office charges me. Nancy |
Ok, I might sound dumb...but I never really pee pad trained Chloe. I did once and she torn the pee pad up really bad!! Do you think she would do the same to the washable one? How do I wash it? Does it dry fast? How do I train her to use it? Thanks!!:D |

It would be EXTREMELY hard to tear up these! I have some boys that used to tear up the paper ones. They don't mess with these except to go potty on them. I had no problem changing over. In fact when I first put it down they immediately went over and peed on it. They don't slide all around like paper and they don't leak. I got tired of finding puddles under my paper pads, so I switched to washable ones and won't be going back. They are easy to wash. Just use the regular cycle in warm water. I would run it through a prewash cycle first, then the regular wash. Tumble dry on low or medium low. They dry faster than thick towels. Or if you don't have a prewash cycle run a short wash or rinse cycle first before the regular one. Don't use bleach. I have been using them for quite awhile and they still look great! They don't seem to retain the smells at all, maybe the dogs can smell something, but I can't. Even my new puppies know to go there. I keep one in their pen and one out in the room for the bigger (adult) dogs and when I get the puppies out to play with the big dogs they know to go on the pad. Amazingly I have never had an accident in the big room with the puppies and I didn't even show them the pad! They just went there on their own! If you haven't had her going on pads at all just put her there whenever she first gets up in the morning or whenever she shows signs of needing to go potty (sniffing, circling, etc). If you get some of her poo or pee soaked up on a paper towel you can rub a little on the pad so she can smell it and that helps, too. You can buy a similar type spray stuff at Petsmart. I have never had to do that myself. Somehow they just knew to go there. |

Mom's happy...so, THIS is what I'm supposed to do! :D |
How funny! What a cutie  I know, Nancy ships fast...when we got ours, we put each one day and both Mojo and Lily knew what do to. I love them! AND they hold up great in the washer....I don't dry mine in the dryer....I hang them over the shower to dry. AND let me tell you, they look like brand new....AND yes, they have been washed LOTS of times!!! |
How often do you change them? I've been trying to switch from the disposable to the washable and have the baby crib mattress cover pads (did that even make sense?) but Hallie gets VERY frazzled when there is more than 1 pee on a pad. Does it soak up quickly? Thanks, the fabric choices are great too! |
I can't answer the washing question, but I can say that it absorbed quickly. I could still see that it was recent enough to reward him, and that was a concern of mine. Now after about an hour, I can see the spot, but it's not nearly as obvious. |
