I usually fold the soiled ones in quarters (in half and then in half again) and put them in my laundry room until I am ready to wash them. I have left them there for a week and they don't stink. The waterproof barrier holds the smell in. Of course once you open them up to wash them you can smell it, but as long as they are folded with the waterproof side out they don't smell. Everyone has different preferences. If disposables work better for you then that's what you should do.

I understand what you are saying now. That is weird! When you wash the washable ones do you do a pre-wash/rinse first, before the actual wash? It could be that you are not getting the urine all out. But who knows? Just trying to help.

| Our washing machine doesn't have a pre-rinse cycle that I know of. Is that something most washing machines have? Maybe I should look closer. |

| Mine does (I think it is actually called a pre-wash cycle), I don't think they they all do but many do. If you don't have one you can just run it through a very short wash cycle (with or without detergent) prior to the the real wash cycle with detergent. If it is really bad you may want to add Odo Ban or something to the last rinse after washing. Hope this helps.
