| Looking for airline approved carrier HI! I am looking for a carrier that is Airline APPROVED. I will be flying home from Japan in Oct/Nov and will need a carrier that will allow my baby in the cabin with me. His two brothers are going to ride below (they are too big!) and I don't trust Turbo down there! Looking for something a little roomy, about the Sml/Med size pet fly's bags. I would like the price to be around $60-80. Thanks for looking! Lisa |

| This is the one that I used and it worked great! It something you don't have to carry. I just wheeled Millie thru the airport and the gates. No Problems. http://www.snoozer-dog-beds.com/WheelAway/wheel1.htm

| I think Sherpa is the best "airline" bag you can get for your money and safety. It has 3 sides that are ventilated. I couldn't find a small one so I ended up buying a different brand at Petsmart but it's made just like the Sherpa. (Also, you might want to make sure of your airlines size requirements.)

| There's also an expensive brand called "Pet Flys" who do have regulations bags for airlines. Good Luck - let us know which one you decide on!

Check the individual requirements of the airline you're going to travel. I found Petsmart has one that is supposedly airline approved, but it is 19" long, and the airline I'll be flying on in August has requirements not to exceed 17" long. So check and make sure. Also the requirements on the airline I'm flying on say it has to have at least 2 vented sides, so another one I bought I can't use. So I'm getting this one: http://www.thepetonline.com/product_...ducts_id=44202 | |

| I've actually done research on several airlines to see which one I wanted to fly Sukoshi on when we go home for Christmas, so I thought I'd save you a step and post the measurements I have for each airline that I looked into. If you're not flying any of these...sorry...this at least gives you an idea of what sizes the other airlines allow! Airline Carrier Limitations Continental 22" L x 14" W x 9" H American 23" L x 13" W x 9" H United 22" L x 14" W x 9" H Delta 22" L x 14" W x 9" H Midwest 18" L x 11" H Alaska 24" L x 14-19" W x 9-11" H (depending on aircraft) US Airways 17" L x 16" W x 10" H Frontier NO PETS ALLOWED IN CABIN Southwest NO PETS ALLOWED ON AIRCRAFT |

| LOL! I don't know about rockin', but I'm certainly a big nerd ! Since I'm an auditor (therefore very attune to detail and organization), I LOVE my spreadsheets , so I actually have a whole Excel spreadsheet with the details for each airline, including the cost (both one-way and round-trip), carrier limitations, # of pets allowed in coach cabin (since I won't ever be lucky enough to fly first class) , whether a health certificate is required, the webpage where the airline has all their in-cabin pet info, and then miscellaneous other info for the airline !!! My husband constantly makes fun of me for the dorky spreadsheets, but I don't know what I'd do without Excel!!!!!!!! |

No Longer a Member | Oh yeah...I can totally relate. When I was in school, before I got my degree, I had my excel spreadsheets all set up, so I knew where I stood with my grade (ok...they were all A's, but I was so anal, I had to make sure the whole time). It would give me a sense of peace to know the lowest grade I could get on the final and still be within the 93% required to get my A...LOL. I have one set up for the pool too. It tells me the exact amount of chlorine I need to add based on the chlorine demand at the time. |

Yes, I could. I had to put it in with the narrow end first and the wheel part at the opening, because it has a wider base, but it did fit under the seat just fine. No problems. There is a separate zipper for the base part of the bag, so I just opened it, so Millie did not get too claustaphobic.
