| Best Bows? I want to buy some bows for my little girl that is coming, where can I get the best deal and best made bows? Also she is very tiny so what size should I get? Do I order rubber band or barrette style?

| I 2nd that! I have a serious bow addiction too. I have only ordered from Connie at Law Dog Bows. I LOVE her bows. Phoebe is 13 1/2wks now so her hair is coming in nicely so a 5/8 bow is not looking so big on her anymore. But a 3/8 size bow is excellent for a puppy. It's like a mini bow. Connie sells them both! I have only ordered the ones with rubber bands on them. www.lawdogbows.com Have fun shopping!

| Congratulations on your new baby! If she is a new baby you will want to train her into putting on bows. I would start by using extra small soft scrunchies. She will more than likely pull them out, its OK. Eventually she will get used to it and maybe even look forward to it. My Katy now goes over to the bed and puts her head down when she is ready for her bow. There are different types of bows and as Patti said several options from vendors on this site. I call mine casual-wear and make them in a different style. I also heat seal the ends and stiffen them to help make them last longer. As for Barettes or or bands, its up to you. Some people like to do barrettes because it is easier to change them. If you use the barette, I would recommend that you still use the rubber band and slip the barette between the head the rubber band. Make sure that you are using groomers bands, they are better for your babies fur. As for size, I would start out with the 3/8 size bows. Good luck! Quote:

| I like the bows from Tiger's Mom (http://go.fetch.home.comcast.net) and Annabelles Mom (www.sweetpeadesignco.com) Both very well made and gorgeous!!! I prefer the barrettes as I clip them either over Sissy's elastic, or under the gathered hair. I find it difficult to put the ones in her hair with the elastic already on, especially getting them straight.

| I've ordered from LawDogBows, and loved the bows. I ordered mostly ones with barettes, but my wife prefers to use the ones with rubber bands. Says they stay in better, but Bailey is leaving both kinds alone most of the time now. Might have something to do with the fact that she got a claw caught in the clasp of the barette on one, and it was put in well enough (between two rubber bands) that it didn't come right out. She was sitting there with her rear leg stuck to the top of her head and yelping like someone was beating her. I got her untangle quickly, but she hasn't bothered her bows much since then. |
