| Roaches will lay eggs in the cardboard --You can not always see them. I know this working for walmart. OMG you should see the rats that walmart would have due to dog food. Huge beast. Never had them and don't want them. Once, when we were unpacking at wal-mart this HUGE LARGE insect came with the ride. |

| Gosh...I only hope they stay at Walmart, and don't come home with me. I really do think I would pass out, I'm rather squeamish when it comes to critters.

| YUCK!! I've had stuff for sale, so I hope it wasn't from here! I will be very grossed out! We fog/bomb our house (from basement to attic) about every 2-3 months (for roaches, spiders, ants, etc). -we've never had a problem....I just hate bugs...especially in the house!!! We have never seen a bug and I think that is why...I HATE BUGS...which is not good for a person living in the middle of the woods! FYI: (which I think most everyone has covered) Roaches lay eggs, so the sooner you kill it the better (glad you did). Also, even if you squish a roach, they can lay their eggs, so squish it and flush it. Roaches do love boxes, paper, glue, etc - any packing item, I guess. You can even find roaches (live and/or dead) in "new" stuff that you buy! Yes, it is true! Roaches can be in packs of cokes, potatoes, etc. They can live pretty much forever....so there is no telling where they come from in your packages! I have heard stories from people who have worked in stores (several, not just Wal-Mart) and they talk about unloading boxes....they have found everything (lizards, rats, roaches, spiders, etc).....GROSS! Even though the roach was between tissue paper or your items or whatever you mentioned, doesn't mean it couldn't have gotten there during the transit time...I have heard stories (I use to work w/ handling the mail at our local university) about items being packed w/ care and once they arrive, they have bugs in them! You know a mother wouldn't pack something w/ bugs! It is all yucky, but you never know what happens to our packages or where they sit for awhile, etc. YUCK, YUCK, YUCK!!! My daughter had to do a report on roaches, so we found alot of interesting info...... Like roaches have two brains, roaches can live in the microwave (turned on), roaches would be the only living thing still alive after a nuclear bomb, etc. CRAZY!

| I am just a tiny minnow in the big pool of sellers here at YT and I speak only for myself. But if I EVER mailed special "pets" to someone I would want to know. I grew up in Florida where we had GIGANTIC flying roaches. My mom kept our home spotless but living in an area with a swamp for a backyard roaches would find their way indoors. I can remember at night turning on a light in a dark room and seeing HUGE KILLER ROACHES flying around! I am terrified of roaches!!!!! |

But when the box was packed it was most likely not there. a roach would have run out if it were disturbed. it was probably beneath the flaps at the time and not noticeable. Or it could have gotten in somewhere along the line. There is no way that bug would have stayed there in the box when she was packing it. Take some spray and spray it or take a shoe and squash it. I would not take the chance of it getting out of where ever you have it. | |
