| Cat Shelf for Yorkie? Don't know if this belongs in this forum but it is a question about a product. I was looking at this cat shelf: http://www.harrietcarter.com/Detail....rod=3667&sr=24 and was wondering if it would support my yorkie? He is only 7 pounds and he loves to look out the window so I was thinking of buying this. Does anyone use one of these for their dog or is there one made for dogs? |

| shelf I do not think the weight would be a problem for most Yorkies..therea re 10 pound cats and more...I would be concerned about them jumping from the shelf onto the floor if the window was higher then chair level.. I had a girl who lived in NC and she would sit in the kitchen sink and watch out the window until her mom came home..when she bought another Yorkie, he did the same thing..learned it from my girl. (I did not teach her to act that way..LOL) |

| The reason why I was looking into this is my couch is right in front of the window and he jumps on the couch to look outside. This isn't a problem. However, he might fall off the couch one day so that is why I would like him to have a shelf to sit on. |

| My mother has one for her cat and when we go visit her, Dezi sits on it and stares out the window for hours. She has her couch right next to it, so it is not a problem for Dezi to get off. |

| I had a friend that had one of these and her Cocker sat on it more than the cat did. I don't think your yorkie would weigh too much.

Donating YT 30K Club Member | I was thinking of doing the same thing. Cali likes to sit on my dtrs bed and look out the window. Her window is pretty low so I think cali could get up and down pretty easy. I wish it had a step!

| The weight shouldn't be a problem. Our cat weighs 13 lbs (He's a big kitty), and he loves his cat shelf. Hmmmmm, I never thought of moving it where Ginger could get to it! I'm thinking the cat wouldn't be very happy with me, it's his respite away from the dogs! |

| You would have to put it close to a couch or something. I think my boys would love one. But in all their excitement they would probably push eachother off.... lol

| Window Seat I have one new in the box. I got it for my girlfriend who has cats but it didn't work with her windows. You can have it if you want it. PM me if interested.
