| Best training pads and frame? Hi! We have beening using Wee Wee brand pads and a plastic frame. I wondering if anyone has any experience with other pads and/or frames that they could share. I have been looking at the Wizdog and am still considering. Any other suggestions? We are a two puppy family in a 4th floor walkup in NYC. Our girls are basically indoor dogs through I am starting to walk them in the morning and evening. |

| All wee wee pads are the same to me! As long as he pees on it, I'm a happy camper! Actually, to be somewhat helpful, I use the ones you can get at Wal Mart because they seem so much cheaper and Fred goes through wee wee pads like water! |

| I use the pads from Target. Also, cheaper than the ones from Petsmart or Petco. They are called Arm & Hammer puppy housebreaking pads. I also use a frame. I bought it at Petsmart. It's a plain white frame that just holds the pee pad so she can't drag it around the house or tear it up. Mari

| I bought the wizdog because I had heard some good things about it, but it's not worth it at all. It's perfect if you use newspapers because it's the size of an unfolded newspaper, but pee pads don't fit in it properly and you have to use at least two. The little grate that goes in it is also a piece of junk. It doesn't fit well in the frame and Tuffy was able to pick it up and run around with it. I don't recommend it at all. I use Simple Solution's pee pads that I get online at kingwholesale.com They work great, very absorbant. I use a Simple Solution's frame for the pads also.

| Thanks! I found a good deal on pads at dog.com. We are trying the Advance Housebreaking Pads. They turn liquid into gel which makes for less smell and tracking (supposedly!). It was $27/100 pads. Now if we can just get them to use the pads consistently! |

| I use the pads from medical supply stores for humans. They absorb better and keep the smell better too, I have found. I have both of our dogs using the pads, so I buy the 24" x 36" ones. The best part, they cost the same as the 24" x 24" ones!! They cost about 35 cents per pad, canadian. I used to use a pad frame, but I gave up and now I just use that rubber matting stuff that people use to line there kitchen drwaers. You can but it at wal-Mart and it works great.

| When we got Reagan the breeder was using the pads with them and she put them in the biggest cat littler box she could find without using the top. I put mine in a storage box meant to go under a bed (We don't use the pads anymore though). This way your pup won't accidentally walk off the pad or think they are on it b/c their front feet are. I think I also saw a box made specifically for pads at petsmart. If you have a problem with them coming close but not actually on the pad you can try putting them in some sort of box, it really did work for us when we were using the pads.

| I have a question on these wee wee pads...since you all use them, I'd like your input. When you train your puppy, do you use the wee pad during the day while at work and take outside while home, or is this not a good idea? I think I have heard both...1) do one or the other and 2) pads during day and outside at night...
