| ![]() I am about to purchase the Lookout II car seat from imapreciouspup but I now came across a thread that some say they keep their dogs in a carrier when traveling by car. I am now a little confused- is it safe/effective to have them in a carrier, stoved snuggly behind the front seat at the floor? How effective are those car seats in case of an accident? The car seat has a slot for the seat belt, then a strap with a hook to attach to the harness. In case of impact, is the strap strong enought to hold the dog? Thanks in advance, Anita |

| ![]() I would invest in a carseat. It's much more comfortable for your pup as opposed to a carrier and not to mention safer. I have the lookout and absolutely love it. Coco just loves the cushiony comfort and that she can look out the window. Definetely worth the money.

Yorkie Lover Donating Member | ![]() I agree the carseat is much safer in my opinion!! Plus it gives them the option to relax and lookout the window!! My girls each have one and LOVE them...now they love to go in the car, because they can see where we are going!!

| ![]() I have both the lookout (console type) and the Sherpa TO-go carrier (Airline approved). When I did not have the lookout, I used to have Tiger on the carrier as brining along the crate is way too big. Now that I have the Lookout carseat, I rarely bring the carrier . . . I guess you actually need BOTH as it has its own separate purpose. Carseat if for when they are travelling in the car. . . .carrier is when you want to take them out of the car and don't want to be holding them. The carseat is definitely safer when in the car! ![]() ![]() ![]() |

| ![]() Looking for a carseat for Hope. Can someone tell me how the Lookout II connects to the console. I could not figure it out by looking at the imaprecious website. Also, can it be attached to a back seat in addition to the console? Thanks! ![]() |

This is what I have and my Tiger sits comfortably in it . . I have an SUV so this fits perfectly for me as he is right next to me. I had a thread showing it here with pictures of him on it . . .just do a search on Tiger shows off his carseat or something. . . or here's a site that has the exact same one I got. http://www.allpetsconsidered.com/xq/...uctdetails.htm Good luck! | |

| ![]() Console seats in my car are deadly. They would get taken out by the airbag immediately. Car seats in the back seat only or a hard carrier in the front ONLY for us! ![]()

| ![]() I use my celtei. It wraps around the seat and is very secure. Its the active pet on the go line. the hands free one. I keep in the care at all times. Pixie is not allowed to ride in the car without it. My husband had to drive 20 minutes to my work last week to get the celtei so he could go back home and get Pixie and bring her to my work! lol He would not take her in the car without it! Its just not worth the risk! Airbags can do so much damage. The celtei keeps her tucked low in the seat and securely in place. I feel safe with her in there. The crate's scare me, the hard ones anyway... they can fly around and who knows what? yikes... The look outs scare me, your baby exposed to who knows what... glass, things flying around in your car, ugh! I don't know... The whole subject scares me honestly... Drive safely!

I agree! Flying glass and debris is bad and can cause serious injury. Thos look outs scare the crap out of me.

| ![]() I use a carrier. It's inclosed and incase of a accident, he is safely buckled in. I have a pillow in there for him and he is quite comfortable. The car seats are cute and your pet may have a better view but I don't trust them.
