One more thing- I believe that the site does say no refunds are accepted, however exchanges are possible. Unless it has been 6 weeks or over, there is really no grounds to question the order, as it does state on the site that it is a possibility and that is the agreement the we make when confirming the order. This is the case for many sites (the estimed/possible time period).

I, for one, totally understand that when you purchase something online and invest your hard earned money into an item, you expect what you paid for. I know from first hand experience that customers are unfortunately unable to see the processes of what "behind the scenes" work is involved and I thought it would help to give my perspective.

1) I am not sure if you have tried calling Gerry and leaving a message, but I do know that several times I would receive PM's regarding orders expecting an immediate response. Im not saying this is the case, but for future reference to those who might be utilizing yorkietalk as a method of communication for business purchases, it is definitely not efficient nor appropriate.

2) With the exception of those who create and sew their own merchandise, all products are bought from several of those in wholesale trade, and the business depends on their lead times and product availability in order to provide customers with the greatest pet products. Their are several times where a vendor will not be in communication with their customers (in this case Imapreciouspup) and we sit here waiting and waiting and telling our customers the situation hoping they will understand. We are told the same things by our vendors, that the product was shipped or no response, and it is hard to relay that information to a customer, especially an eager one. This is why on most sites it says that packages may take up to 4-6 weeks for delivery- for unforseen events in the "business cycle."

3) Once a package is shipped to a customer, it is at the mercy of the shipping carrier. There are unfortunately several instances where a shipment will take longer than usual or possibly even be lost. While most of us never have a problem, things do happen and if shipping through the post office their is only delivery confirmation, making it impossible to "track" a package. I know that Gerry uses the post office, so asking for a tracking # wouldnt help. I also know that the shipping charges are based on the packaging costs, time involved, and actual shipping costs, and if tracking is used it is for Gerry's protection to be able to prove a package was delivered so the customer cannot accuse otherwise. When I want a specific tracking # on orders I place online, I always send an email to the company before I order (this also helps to see if the business is timely etc), that way I can find out if I will even be provided a tracking number, because it is certainly not a right of paying for shipping.

I hope this information is useful for anyone who enjoys making online purchases, and possibly sheds some light on the fact that many online businesses (and I know Gerry for sure) really care about their customers and despite some of the uncontrollable factors, they are working as hard as they can to make sure everyone is happy. I know recently with the bad weather and delayed vendor shipments, their are several people wondering what is going on. I know that Gerry would not purposely ignore an email from a customer, which is why I mentioned either calling or sending another email. Threatening a business is certainly not a good way to get things done, and if so concerned about the charge I would take it up with the credit card company. This is not to say that communication is not important, I think it is crucial and responding to customers is #1, which is why I urge you all to see what is going on and hopefully get this resolved. Last thing, a lot of times a business will ship an item and has emailed you that it has shipped. Many times they will get emails asking the status, and a daily response of "it has shipped" is not neccesarily time effective, yet waiting for you to get the package (and assuming you eventually will since it was shipped) is more reasonable. If 20 orders are placed a day, getting 100 emails asking about if it has shipped when the original email stated it was shipped isnt realistic. It could be that she is backed up trying to find out where the packages that she sent really went.

Hi BrookeB67
Thanks for all your information. I did want to let you know that for me personally I am an avid online shopper and have never encountered these kinds of problems. I was sent an email shipping confirmation notice without any inquiry on my part. That was the same day my card was charged. I would love to make a call to Gerry and try to resolve the matter but unfortunately her number and address are not on the website. IIn one email I was told that I would be sent a tracking number and I often track packages sent via USPS and also receiveemails from the USPS regarding tracking progress. I agree responding to customers is a number one priority and I know if my inquiries were responded to I would not have had this frustration.

Here's my update as of today 2/20 still no package. I did get one PM from her to look for an email from her and i still havent. She said she was going to look into this and obviously hasnt. I've read good things about her site and ordering from her but right now i am very disappointed. My card was charges i sent a PM saturday and NOTHING yet no email, no pm, no package!! As of now i want my credit card credited back. I understand things take time but i ordered 2/8 and its 2/20!! Atleast send a message of some sort. Im NOT waiting 2 months for some shampoo. If things are listed on the site like shampoo (CC System) and you dont personally have them you have to get them directly from Chris Christensen then you should be told about it. Maybe if you're real close to her you get fastedr/better service (no offense to anyone) but this is very upsetting. It should'nt be done to us

Default Why are you in a panic?

From 2/8 to 2/20 is only 12 days and you have to subtract the Sundays and today is a holiday.....I think she is well within her clearly stated time frame. BTW the cc products are well worth the wait.

Hi Cooper's mom- I guess I want to apologize on behalf of Gerry, I do certainly know that she isnt intentionally ignoring you and I know that this will get resolved. I do understand your frustration, I started and used to own Imapreciouspup, so I have the view of both the business side and consumer side. Gerry is a friend of mine and I know she cares deeply about each and every customer & order, she really is a great person. While sometimes these circumstances are rare, I can assure you that something must be going on. I know the most frustrating part is being told something (such as it shipped) and not receive it. You sound as if you have been very patient and Im sure she will take care of you. You can try gerry@imapreciouspup.com, your concerns are definitely reasonable and I sure hope it will be resolved.

Daisy: If your order was placed on 2/8, that was only 7 business days ago, and I dont think it is fair to be accusatory. It takes 5 business days to receive a chris system order after it is already shipped, so that doesnt even include processing time or the time they need to get it to their wholesalers. If Gerry needed to re-order this product, you certainly cant expect that it already be delivered to you. Even if it was shipped on Monday (which you ordered on a Wednesday, not sure what time, so Monday the 13th would be considered fast IMO) than there is no reason why you should be so upset that you havent received it. Most of the times things on the site ARE in stock, however, due to the volume of orders this cannot be guaranteed and I know especially the shampoo is ordered very very frequently. I myself had to continue to re-order it weekly to keep it on stock, and during the lag times my customers would understand. I absolutely do not think it is reasonable for you to request you receive a credit on your card for an item you have only waited 7 business days for (THursday the 9th, Friday the 10th, Monday the 13th, 14th, 15th, 16th, 17th, and today the 20th)- if you need something in less than 7 business days I suggest you try purchasing locally. You act like someone is commiting a crime by saying "this shouldnt be allowed to be done to us" but what shouldnt be allowed it those like yourself who happily enjoy the yorkietalk discount, but dont show any appreciation and want your money back after less than 2 weeks!

Thank you, I thought I was the only one wondering if my eyes were going out or if someone really wanted their money back after less than 2 weeks (and good point about today being a holiday).

I wouldn't hesitate to place an order from www.imapreciouspup.com. The site has a great reputation... both with Brooke who was the original owner, and now Gerry.

It's a busy online store with great customer service. I can appreciate all the work that must go into running it and these kinds of things can happen on ANY online site....I've ordered from Pet Edge and had things backordered for over 2 months....it happens !

Ok maybe I'm jumping the gun alittle, but there are other replies that it takes over two months to recieve. I am more upset that i was told to expect an email or pm and have nothing yet. I received a pm from some one stating that it has taken over 2 months to recieve product from there. I'm just trying to cover myself. It was supposedly shipped on 2/8 and im in NJ. Just trying to find out if it's lost somewhere or what's going on and cant get an answer. Im not putting a bad name out there for her at all. I know people are busy - im not saying differently. An email/pm would be nice.

You are jumping the gun because you initiated this thread. What people want to pm you is there business, and isnt really fair that you started a thread after only a few business days. If those who have waited wanted to do something, then that is their business I think the email you received on 2/8 was the confirmation email, on the back end of the website the owner has the ability for her own records to update orders that she has in stock and are ready for shipment, this allows her to keep track of those she still has to fill or order product for. When this feature on the back end is updated, it automatically emails the customers saying that the status on the account has been changed, but doesnt neccesarily mean your order has shipped (and very rarely can it ship on the same day it is placed, so that doesnt make sense). I take it that bc she updated your order the same day she does have you order items in stock but hadnt been able to go to the post office, and like she mentioned earlier, she is having trouble with her internet connection, which makes it very difficult to communicate. I dont think she personally emailed you saying that your order was shipped, but that the site automatically emailed you an update. I do agree that you should be informed of the status, but as I mentioned there must be something going on because I am always able to email her and get a response immediately, and right now I have not heard back which makes me really worried that either she doesnt have internet or something else is going on. What still upsets me is that someone is able to take advantage of a forum discount, yet chastise their business when having to wait just a couple of days. I dont expect you to wait 2 months for shampoo, but come on, I dont think this post was neccesary and if others have issues that is not your right tell the world.

I agree Brooke. It is not appropriate to criticize someone's business on a public forum -- especially if the owner of the website is a fellow YT member. It's just not a nice thing to do.

Gerry - Girl, your website is AWESOME! Keep up the good work!

I'm glad everything got cleared up. I ordered from Gerry and had a good experience. I got my shampoo in 3 weeks and then the shirt I ordered was back ordered, but I still received it in under 6 weeks. Gerry emailed me and let me know it was back ordered. Will order from her again and probably soon since my CC's is getting low.
