| jess likes to be as naked as a jaybird so we just put a harness on for walks. Other than that she is "naked" |

Furbutts = LOVE Donating Member Moderator | I use harnesses only for walks, I don't leave them on. For ID purposes, it's good to get them microchipped and have them wear properly fitted break-away collars with tags. You really only want to be able to fit a finger in btwn the collar and the neck - so that's it's not too loose (not safe) or not too tight (ditto).

Donating YT 3000 Club Member | I use harnesses only for walks and I have his tags on it. I only have a breakaway cat collar on him when I am home and he is running around

| I've been considering a buddy belt too. Right now my pup wears nothing at home unless we have company. In that case I put his break-away cat collar on so that he is not accidentally stepped on or overlooked. When we go outside he wears his harness.

| Jackson wears his collars every day. For decorative purposes and ID purposes. I have so many of them that they have to get worn somehow, lol. But yes harness for walking.

| Cody wears a collar all the time for tags and it's decorative, he's also micro chipped. I never hook the leash to his collar. For walks I use a harness. I never leave the harness on all the time, I think it would be uncomfortable for him.

| How tiny? If your puppy's chest measurement is under 8 inches, you can use a kitty harness or a ferret harness from the pet store. My personal favorite, and I am retailer for, the Buddy Belt, which starts at Size 1 for dogs with 8 -10 inch chests.

| I was told special soft teacup collars were alright to use. Toni hates harness and rarely goes outside. When she does go for waks, doesn't pull. Trachea is well formed now. |

| Harness vs Collars My two always wear harness in the car seat or out for walks. Never a collar I think their little necks are too fragile. In the house they don't wear anything I'm always afraid they will get caught on something. Our back yard is fenced and there is chicken wire at the bottom of fence to prevent Yorkie escapes and they don't wear any harness in the fenced yard. |
