| Do your Yorkies wear halter always? My other dog just had a collar. Do your yorkies wear the halter only for walks or all the time. I'd like to keep Pippin's tags on her halter all the time since she seems to like to chew on them on a regular collar. Right now I just use the halter for a walk. Thinking of a Buddy Belt. |

| Tibbe wears his collar or occas. a harness with his ID tag all the time except some times when I take it off for a rest from it but try to always remember to put it right back on before he goes outside or someone comes by the house - just in case they might hold open the door and he get out somehow when I'm out of the room or something. I'm so paranoid about him getting out and getting lost he's rarely w/out his ID and of course he's got his microchip in place.

| Some people do like to keep the harness on during the day for quick trips outdoors for potty breaks, and to hold tags.

| Callie wears a collar all the time but it is just for her tags I never hook the leash to it. When I am going to have the leash on her I use her buddy belt harness. I never leave the harness on all the time though that seems uncomfortable.

| I have their tags on the Buddy Belts & they only wear it when we go out for walkies. We have a 15" high ex-pen blocking the front door, so we have no chances for them to run out. Quote:

| My two wear collars with their tags on them and only wear their harnesses when we go for walks. I feel like they are more comfortable without their harnesses and would get matted if I left them on all the time.

| Our have their tags on Buddy Belt harnesses, which they wear for walkies and in the house if we have people coming over, just in case they get out by mistake. We don't do collars, the boys roughhouse together too much for that to feel safe to me and Pickles actually got his collar stuck on his lower jaw the day we brought him home from the rescue. |

| Blazer always wears his collar and he wears his harness often. The one we use now for him is easy on and off- it's like a vest that he steps into and it velcros and clips on his back- we put it on him whenever he goes outside for potty and half the time we forget to take it off of him when he comes back in. Right now we have him sleeping in it and have him leashed to the bed because DH doesn't want Blazer sneaking into our middle daughter's bed at night. But anyhoo, yes, he wears his harness a lot. |

| I've never bought a collar for Sophie. She's always just worn a harness (Buddy Belt) when going on walks or out and about. Tags can be easily attached to it. I cringe when I see people walking their dogs with the leash connected just to a collar especially when the dog is pulling and choking. So much tracheal damage can be caused that way. : ( |

| I have a collar with tags that I leave on all the time. I never put a leash on her collar! When you walk them with a collar and a leash their neck is always being pulled. With a harness this does not happen and you always have better control with them on a harness. I also have the same tags on her harness but only use her harness, when I take her for walks or going outside. I guess I am an overprotective parent better safe than sorry! |

| Yoda has his harness on most of the time. After his bath or grooming it doesn't go back on until his next walk. It doesn't seem to bother him to have it on, it is a good fit for him, and no issues with matting. |

| Gracie had a collar when she was a puppy. I tried putting a leash on it just one time and she started to cough and choke. That was the end of that. She now wears a cat collar all the time with her tags on it but she wears a harness every time she goes for a walk. We have a step in harness that is very quick and easy to put on. I don't think it is a good idea to keep a harness on any dog all the time so I think the break away collar is a good idea for keeping tags on. |
