| ![]() Hi Lillymae, Thanks for the suggestion. Actually, that's kinda, sorta what I have been doing thus far. I have very small shallow saucers from a set of some sort of glass dishes that I inherited from my mom, and I use some short 1" pressed wood slats that came with the "just the right size" feeders that are employed to stabilize and reinforce the feeders. I use them to raise the saucers off the floor about an inch. It seems to work okay I guess, but the bowls and not really stable on the slats, I mean they can move around, and that is why I am looking for something like this, but professionally made for pets. If I can't find it, I guess I could continue to use the current set up. I've never thought of a brick, maybe that would be more secure. I have to get hold of a brick and try it out to see if it fits Cassie and Muffin. I'm not sure if it would be too high, but it's worth trying. Thank you for this suggestion Shellie ![]() Quote:

Now thats a thought! I couldn't do this myself, as I am all thumbs no matter how simple this wood working Project is. I think you would have to have some basic knowledge about woodworking, and I have absolutely non, and no tools to do this with anyway. But what I do have, is a handyman. I'll bet he could do this in a heartbeat. And it could be custom made to her proportions, and also Muffins. ![]() ![]() Shellie :-)

| ![]() Check etsy. Lots of sellers make personal items, I bet they could make one the height you need. HandmadeGreenForDogs on Etsy http://www.etsy.com/shop/cheeks63

| ![]() Shellie, I forgot to mention that my pups use kitty bowls with the rubber on the bottom so they don't slide all over the place. |

Gosh, such GREAT ideas from everyone. I am so grateful. Thank you all so much. Really. I could have never thought of all the wonderful choices and alternatives you are all coming up with. And real creative thinking too. I don't feel nearly so lost and mystified as I did before. Thank you all so much. These ideas are GREAT! ![]()

| ![]() I use these with Roxie and thought it might work in your situation. The small fully extended actually stands about 3 1/2" tall. Since the bowls are popware, you decide how deep to make them. I love this set. It is so easy to clean and pack up and take with us etc. (since it folds up). | ![]() I just measured it and it's only 2 1/2 inches from the top. Is that too low? Ahi is 4lbs. but she has short legs. lol

| ![]() I have a kitty double diner that is the right height but the bowls are too deep, but very pretty, lol, I do like them. I bought the plain Stainless steel kitty bowls and they fit right inside the larger bowls perfectly and raise the food up higher bc of the bowl being more shallow. My dog does not have AAI... but he is missing a few teeth and he has trouble holding food in his mouth, so the slightly raised bowls allow him to eat more efficiently

| ![]() Mine does have a few little dark spots on the bottom, but I put these through the dishwasher so I know that they are clean and sanitary. Here is the popware website. They have the small bowls and give pretty accurate descriptions. My small set stands about 3 1/2 inches when the legs are up. You could use them with the bowls closed in and legs in, then it stands about 1/2". I notice that they have a more expensive version that goes from 2.75" to 12". Popware for Pets? |
