| Brushes I have always been very down on the use of pin brushes as we have tried tons found locally and they all were irritating to me...in a thread about Madan brushes people were commenting on my discouragement of them when I said I tried them on myself and felt they were cruel to use on a dog. Mimimomo, politely asked if I knew how sensitive her Madan brushes were...and then suggested specific brushes for my needs of a sensative kinned dogs, and cottony coats...I'm getting ready to place my second order after about a month of having purchased a variety of brushes...I have the light green sensitive pin brush, the mustache brush (it's awesome!) and the large gold comb (love it). I cannot believe how gentle the sensitive pin brush is i first ran it on the underside of my arm, then my own hair and twas assured it would be okay to try on my dogs...Scoobers was terrified of brushes when I first got him so I have to be especially careful still using any brush on him in how it feels...he will literally ask me to brush him with it now! That speaks volumes to how gentle these are... Wish someone had said to me, "Shannon shut up about pin brushes and try this kind...they are not implements of torture." I swear by these now and the price is incredible! http://www.toplinepet.com Be sure to talk to Mimimomo about your needs and she is incredible about advising you on which brushes would work best for you!

| I love the Madan brushes & combs too! I have two Madan brushes for the dogs and one for me. I LOVE the Madan brush for my own hair so I know it has to feel pretty good for the pups too. My Jack Russell LOVES to be brushed with it and she has really short hair. LOL! But she gets in line and will even try to push her way in front of the one I am brushing to get hers done. So, I know the brush feels good to them. I am sometimes amazed at how well the Madan brush handles tangles too. I do also have a really good boars bristle brush that I use to finish them off with. It gives a nice shine to their coat but is not as penetrating as the Madan. Together they make a perfect team.

| I was using a boars hair brush too! Princess Monster killed it last month I need a new one now, it was designed for use by people but really did work great on smoothing the coat-but I had the same issue it didn't penetrate deep enough and it fluffed the hair too much so Elvis and Princess would go curly at the first sign or humidity or wetness and really I needed to brush twice a day for it to be effective-who has time for that? I was also using the Pet Head brushes (by Bed Head-found 'em at my salon as a promo) they were okay for doing the job but the quality was not so great and they were actually more expensive than the Madan brushes! I used all the Pet Head shampoos etc too-not so great at all and expensive or well overpriced IMO.

| LOL...oops! Mustache comb (hexagon handle) ...isn't it amazing!? I got the aluminum spray comb too-works great for my schnauzers and their double coats! I'm definitely a convert. Seriously, I think it's really important to note how gentle these brushes are and how they can be used on sensitive dogs, and are unlike the vast majority of pin brushes...they even have degrees of sensitivity in the "pin cushion" and the pins are carefully constructed to ensure no breakage and sensitivity.

| I love the Madan. I got the baby blue colored one for Jackson's hair which is kept short, he's kind of a modified coat, but closer to silky than cottony for sure. Anyways, it works great on him. And he no longer acts like I'm killing him when I'm brushing him, though he still would prefer NOT to get brushed, at least this one doesn't hurt him!

| I use Isinis Brushes for drying and maintenance upkeep. At times I useMadan in the ring for seperating the coat, the Madan brush I use (since each color has a different stiffness) according to coat texture. But, much prefer Chris Christensen burshes and butter combs.

| What did you use for the cottony coat!!?? We have the baby blue one and it works great (Snick LOVES being brushed now) but wondering if another would be better for Reesie's stubborn cottony biewer coat. Viv
