| ![]() Burned Yorkie Terrier Succumbs To Injuries - Denver News Story - KMGH Denver I read another article that said he was not in pain. They said he was heavily medicated and if you look at the slide show you will see he was lifting his head and moving around. I had a yorkie a few years ago who lost control of his legs and had to have disc surgery...during the time he was unable to walk, he cried when he was hungry...thirsty or had to relieve himself. I am sure that is what was going on with Bobo...I believe that is what they meant to say. He was so bandaged up that he needed help for his needs. I trust they did keep him pain free and they met his every need....he left Earth knowing people loved and cared for him. It kills me to know he was in such a condition.

| ![]() I have read as many of the threads as I could (not very many) they upset me so much. I feel horrible for Bobo. The only good thing is out of this situation is that people now are more aware that these horrible things do happen even after some one has had a baby for six years. I don't claim to know or understand it. The worst for us is that it is now causing people here to argue over what is right or wrong. We are all entitle to our opinions. I will not give mine either way. The only thing I will say is that I feel so badly for the little baby who had to suffer. I do not think that Bobo would want any of us to fight. If he was anything like my three babies. It would freak them out. They don't like tension at all and they know. The point I am trying to make (probably doing very badly at it). We should not argue over what we think should or should not happen. Or could have happened. We should pull together sending our prayers and support for the little guy and the others that will be in simiular situations as this. My suggestion is we all say a prayer for Bobo. Sorry if I upset anyone that was truly not my intent. I just do not think that we should fight over something as horbile as a little babies torcher and death. This is when we need to ALL pull together for a worthy cause. Like supporting our local shelters or emegency animal clinics. Anger is good focused in the right direction. But, in this situation, not at each other. Again, I am sorry if I upset anyone. Laura |

Furbutts = LOVE Donating Member Moderator | ![]() Since I had donated money for Bobo - I just received an email from Table Mountain regarding his passing. Here it is: Dear animal lovers, I first would like the thank you for your heart felt words thoughts and prayers for Bobo. The poor little dog suffered immeasurable pain and stress. Sadly and as many of you probably already know, Bobo died early in the morning on Thursday, October 22. This upsetting situation and others like this, continue to haunt me. I just have to say to myself that Bobo is now in a better place. He is in a place free of pain, free of abuse; a place full of love and joy with dozens of fire hydrants. Thank you for supporting Bobo and his medical care. The exact cause of his death is still unknown, but we are pretty certain it was from the injuries and trauma of the abuse compounded by his age and other possible conditions. The amazing Doctors at Wheat Ridge Animal Hospital did a fantastic job and truly thought that Bobo had a good chance. However, burns and the extent of their damage and complications are not always easy to predict. Throughout his care and the care of other animals that suffer from abuse, we at Table Mountain Animal Center and our partners, including the various animal control agencies and Wheat Ridge Animal Hospital, put the best interest of the animal first. At any time during Bobo’s care, if we felt that continuing to treat him was not in the best interest for his welfare, other options would have been considered and pursued. The funds you donated have exceeded $30,000. This fact warms my heart as it shows that these horrible of acts are not acceptable or tolerated by the community and that the vast majority of people understand that these creatures are our best friends, our running buddies, our family members. We won’t know the total amount of Bobo’s care for at least a week, additionally there maybe other costs associated with the investigation. The amount of funds donated, will exceed the cost of his care. The balance of the donated funds will remain in the Westy Fund, established to help with the medical expenses of abused and neglected animals that come to Table Mountain Animal Center throughout the year. My colleagues and I are working hard to process all of the donations received. This may take us some time. However, if you do not receive a receipt in the mail within a couple of weeks, please contact me by e-mail to insure that your contribution is recognize appropriately. Many of you expressed interest in adopting or fostering Bobo. Everyday of the year, Table Mountain Animal Center is in need of both foster families and willing adopters. As one of the largest animal adoption and care facilities in the region, we always have dozens of animals that are in need of your help and companionship. Fortunately nearly all of pets waiting for adoption have not suffered from the abuse that Bobo endured. They simply are not wanted or were born into a world that didn’t have space for them. Go to our website to get started. In closing I hope that you keep Table Mountain Animal Center in mind when it comes to your future charitable dollars. This organization is working towards building a new facility and has undergone unprecedented growth in programs. Financial support from the community will help continue to make these much needed changes and growth a reality. With all my respect and thanks, Ben Drotar Director of Marketing and Development bendrotar@tablemountainanimals.org or 720-407-5212

| ![]() I'm am still haunted by this ordeal. I can't get the picture out of my head. I really don't know how that woman can live with herself. But with all those donations it shows that as many crazies are out there, that there is much more good people. God bless Bobo and all the donators. |

YorkieTalk Newbie! | ![]() This is one of the saddest things I have heard in a very long time. I hate leaving my baby to go to work and can't even imagine doing any thing to hurt him. This poor baby trusted that woman to take care of him, if she is indeed mentally ill someone should have been looking out for her and this poor little guy. They should also be questioned as to how something this horrible could happen. |

| ![]() Dedicated To Bobo … Rainbow Bridge's Newest Angel Rainbow Bridge Just this side of heaven is a place called Rainbow Bridge. When an animal dies that has been especially close to someone here, that pet goes to Rainbow Bridge. There are meadows and hills for all of our special friends so they can run and play together. There is plenty of food, water and sunshine, and our friends are warm and comfortable. All the animals who had been ill and old are restored to health and vigor. Those who were hurt or maimed are made whole and strong again, just as we remember them in our dreams of days and times gone by. The animals are happy and content, except for one small thing; they each miss someone very special to them who had to be left behind. They all run and play together, but the day comes when one suddenly stops and looks into the distance. His bright eyes are intent. His eager body quivers. Suddenly he begins to run from the group, flying over the green grass, his legs carrying him faster and faster. You have been spotted, and when you and your special friend finally meet, you cling together in joyous reunion, never to be parted again. The happy kisses rain upon your face; your hands again caress the beloved head, and you look once more into the trusting eyes of your pet, so long gone from your life but never absent from your heart. Then you cross Rainbow Bridge together.... Author Unknown

| ![]() A horrible story that made me tear up (sitting in an airport – very embarrassing) and then sick to my stomach (I have been on business travel for 2 weeks, & have been REALLY missing my yorkies); I finally get a chance to log on to YorkieTalk and am shocked by this post. Another prayer for little bobo, and sympathy for the owner who is obviously a VERY SICK individual. I doubt any of us could even imagine what it would be like to be that mentally ill. Thanks to all who donated for his care. |
