| It's funny you should say this. I have often wondered why someone hasn't come up with this idea. (the tracking of pets through a collar) I personally think it's a great idea. The only problem would be if the collar was taken off. Same thing with the Chip. It's only good if it is scanned. And do all Doctors scan a pet that comes in for the first time? Probably not. With all the dogs being stolen, especially our little Yorkies, we need a good tracking device. How is this done? Like a GPS? Darlene |

| Theives taking Precious I feel so sad for you guys. My heart goes out to you. I don't know what I would do if someone stole one of my 4 babies. God knows they are like my children. I will pray for the safe return of Precious. Please let us know if she is returned home. |

| How do they keep track of sex offenders out on bail And people on House Arrest? GPS tracking device. Now, how can a collar be made that can't be taken off, only with a key, or combination? They already have one that fits around the ankle. hummmmmmm ! Darlene |

YT 1000 Club Member | My DH already makes these. He's been in the business for over 30 years. He makes them for falconers, coon hunters, researchers and biologist. I talked to him today about making a specific design for the Yorkies. I also agree with one that can be concealed or not easily removed. The longer the thief would have to fiddle with getting it off the pup the more time it buys the owner. I'll keep you posted and not sure if I can post his web site on here or not. But I'd like to make sure it's a specific line just for toy breeds. I'll keep you posted!! I've been bugging him to get one done for Roxie then we can go from there. |

YT 1000 Club Member | I just was at the vets office and noticed on their bulletin board that there are 2 yorkies that were stolen. One out of a yard and one out of a lady's garage at home. it makes me sick to think that pets aren't even safe anymore. Now on top of worrying about the normal stuff we worry about if we are away from home for anything , we have to add that someone may break into our homes and steal our precious babies.

| That is awful! That is my biggest fear. You can replace possessions like jewelry and electronics, but to steal someone's pet! My heart is broken for them I really hope they catch the people and are able to recover their yorkie. SO Sad |

| I am so sorry for your loss I would be devastated if someone broke into my home and took my Yorkie. I have her microchipped, but do not advertise that she is. I am afraid they will go looking for it and dig it out. If they sell it to some unsuspecting buyer, the Vet would hopefully scan the dog on the first visit and determine she is stolen. I know that might take a long time to get her back, but I am fearful what these thieves would do to my animal. I truly hope that your dog is found soon and return to you safe and sound. We will keep an eye out for her. We always notice the Yorkies and if we suspect something I would call the police. I don't mind looking foolish if it brings a baby back home. |

| OMG. Has he been found? Did she get her baby back yet. That is just sooo cruel. If someone were to break into my house, they could have whatever they want as long as they leave my Yorkies alone. They are my life. I could not stand it if they took one of them. |

| I just had Jack Microchipped while he was getting neutered. But reading about how everyone wants GPS on their dogs makes me realize insignificant the chip is. Think about it..... how often is it going to happen that your furbaby is kidnapped and found in a shelter?! I bet hardly ever because the people who steal them is out to make the money. If a coller were invented it would need to be extremely difficult to get off or to damage it. I feel so sorry for those who have lost their Yorkies. Those people don't realize that these dogs have loving homes. It makes me sick to think someone would be gutzy enough to bust through my door or windows to take only my puppy. I like the idea of having a webcam set up and running. So many people have them and you have no idea if they are recording or not. Good way to catch people if they are dumb enough to walk in front of it and show their face. My prayers are with those who have lost their baby! |
