| Bella Boo & Diggy Too! Donating GS Member | I feed Evo, and home cook at least once a day. I have Canidea, chicken soup puppy, lover soul, and Innova regular...mine prefer homecooking first then Evo.

| Deiter eats the Innova. He like the dry with warm water on it. I tried the moist but he got the runs from it. I went thru 5 dog foods before this and he wouldn't eat it, once I got this now that is all he will eat. But only with warm water, I guess he likes it because it looks like gravy on it. And he has done just fine with it. No weight gain and I even noticed his hair coat looks better.

| Was home cooking too hard? There's a lot of stuff you can buy frozen & supplement with something fancy like Merrick's (they make the cowboy cookout which sounds like something I'd eat! =) I feed Evo kibble with a spoonful of canned mixed in. My boy can't have too much canned, like many dogs & cats he'll get diarrhea from a high amount of wet food. He just goes nuts over the Evo 95% vension wet mixed in there. About the dental care, Dr. Pitcarn says expecting a kibble to clean a dogs teeth would be like humans flossing with crackers. I understand the principle of kibble scrapping teeth might remove some tartar, but for it to make a huge difference I just don't believe it. We get by with a tiny tooth brush and chicken flavored tooth paste

| my parents' dog eats EVO and he's doing great .. his fur has gotten much softer too .. before it was really wirey and cottony. i think he's gotten kinda chubby on it though b/c my mom just leaves a bowl out. kikko likes to steal his food too when he can.... but he eats solid gold most of the time. i think both foods are great. just gotta be careful with the high protein in EVO.

| http://www.evopet.com/products/default.asp?id=1488 I just purchased this brand of doggie food last night for Bella. She was being fed Royal Canin and I really wanted to start her on a better quality food, and I hope I made the right decision. I mixed her old food with some new food last night and it was the first time she ate her kibble without me having to add anything to it (yogurt, cottage cheese, parm cheese) so I was ecstatic about that. The only thing I am concerned about is the high levels of protein.will Bella be okay? Hoping I made the right choice, it was between this and Canidae. |

| We feed our Aira, Innova Evo canned food mixed with her Wellness puppy kibble as she was a bit thin eating just kibble. She loves it, especially the 95%meat kinds. I've heard its a great food and the ingredients list also looks pretty good. A food similar in quality to Innova Evo is Orijen. It does not come in canned though, only kibble. We give the puppy kind to Aira as a training treat - we've tricked her into eating healthy food rather then regular dog treats Last edited by Aira; 10-17-2007 at 08:38 PM. Reason: forgot something |
