| Who else feeds Innova Evo? I finally gave up home feeding and it has been a long week trying to switch back to dog food. The vet recommended Innova Evo and from reading the ingrediants it looks to be a good food. I bought the kibble and some canned. I have been giving them kibble in the morning but they have hardly touched it. I know people say to only leave it out for 20 minutes and then pick it up but I leave it before I go to work so it is there all day and hardly looks touched. They have done better with the canned food though I admit I have been sprinkling a little bit of cheese on top to entice them. My plan is to do less and less of that and hopefully it will be gone by next week. Is it okay to feed them only the wet food? I know kibbles are good for teeth but I cant force them to eat it. | Feeding 100% canned is perfectly fine. It is less processed than kibble and therefore might actually be better.

| I feed raw but I actually think that wet food is better than kibble, its in a more natural form, kibble is just so over processed. |

| Canned is better than kibble. Especially since Innova Evo is a high protein food, that dry kibble is so concentrated with protein that the dog needs to drink a lot of water to get the moisture it needs. With canned, the moisture is already in the food. My cat ate Innova Evo kibble for about 6 weeks several months ago and her water intake increased a lot! And she eventually started having diarrhea..it was just too rich for her. I would definitely feed the canned over the kibble. Plus kibble does not help keep teeth clean. That is a myth. Would you eat a cookie and expect it to keep your teeth clean? No... the only way to effectively keep your dog's teeth clean is to brush them regularly

| i feed evo small bites and also canned food. That's the only brand that my little girl would eat. She is not really crazy about the kibbles but i usually leave it out the whole day so she can kinda snack on it. I used the canned food as the main meals..She loves it. She was on royal canine before and i had a hard time switching her to new food. she will only eat small kibbles and i am glad i finally found the evo small bites! |

| So do you think that when it comes to dogfood in general that canned is always better? Diesel can't handle canned food. He gets the runs everytime he eats canned food.

| I agree, if he eats the canned, it's actually better due to the fact that it's not as processed and contains much more moisture.

| Only if it's a Premium canned food...low-quality canned foods like Ceasar and Pedigree are probably worse.. All kinds of gross stuff in those. It could be from not making a gradual switch to canned food from kibble.

| I just order Innova Evo because of the rumors about Canidae - still waiting for it to be delivered. From everything I've read though, it's supposed to excellent food. Can't wait to get it and see if my little princess will like it!!!

| i don't feed evo, but i feed mocha regular innova small bites. it took her awhile to adjust to it (about 2-3 weeks) but now she eats it regularly. in the beginning, i mixed it with a little bit of carrot or sweet potato baby food to get her to taste it. she now eats it dry. =) give it time.
