| Asia started doing that monday while on the back porch. I hope it was because the porch is very dusty and she found a tennis ball so she got dust in her throat. But sometimes she does it inside to. Let me know what the vet says about Rams. |

| Maximus started doing a hacking noise while he was sleeping it got worse and by the morning I was at the vet..he said collapsed trachea..I went for a second opinion and they said kennel cough on the xray his trachesa looks fine...Maximus was put on antibiotics and since will occasionally have that hacking noise...I think it may even be reverse sneezing...

| yes i would say kennel cough too....... not a big deal though, most of the time they dont even need antibiotics (its equivalant to a human having a cold) just watch for goopy eyes and nasal discharge |

| I'm back from the vet and she said that it was normal as long as he was not doing a lot of it. since he was getting Vaccines today she went ahead and started him on Canine Bordetella Vaccine (spelling??) she said that it would prevent kennel cough. He will go back in 3 weeks for another booster.other then that he is fine |

| This past week when I took Maggie to the vet, there was another lady there with her Yorkie. He started the coughing, hacking sound. I asked her if he was sick.. She said that his trachea is oval instead of round. When he gets excited, the trachea has a tendency to flatten a little more, causing restricted air. Next time you have your baby at the vet, you might ask them about the trachea.

| Coughing More and more of today's dogs do have problems with coughing. The result of a trachea that is not normal. I feel that as breeders were are at fault because we have bred some of our lines too tight with inbreeding. I also have Arabian horses and the same type of health conditions can be found in today's stock that we did not see 25 years ago. Had beautiful gal collapsed trachea with coughing problems- had her spayed and placed as a pet. Wnalegria |
