This past week when I took Maggie to the vet, there was another lady there with her Yorkie. He started the coughing, hacking sound. I asked her if he was sick.. She said that his trachea is oval instead of round. When he gets excited, the trachea has a tendency to flatten a little more, causing restricted air. Next time you have your baby at the vet, you might ask them about the trachea.
