| Ear Cleaning Chaos! Today I attempted to clean Bobby's ears for the first time since I noticed there was a slight odor & some debris coming from one, not too much but enough for me to notice since I check his still-floppy ears often. I tried to calm & settle him so as to do it but he wouldn't sit still. Are there any suggestions on how you pros do it?

| I want to know, too! Tucker's ears stand up but he HATES me putting drops in them or anything. He had an ear infection a few weeks ago so I really want to be sure that I keep them clean.

| Mmmm.. a yeast infection? Awww, my poor baby. Thank goodness Bobby has a vet appointment tomorrow! I ordered an ear cleaning kit online - Gimborn R-7 ear kit. I'm so worried him! Thanks a lot guys! You don't know how much of a help YT is!

| My cocker gets yeast infections in his ears too. I have to clean them daily with cleaning solution and Qtips and put otomax in them if they are infected. |

MY Cocker is great and lets me do anything to her but even as gentle as I am - I know sometimes it hurts her when I have to use the Q tips ... Mardelin just gave you good advise too - If your baby has an infection - you need for Baytril or Ottomax - these ear infections usually won't clear up unless treated by prescription

| Kasey, my cocker hates to have his ears done. All I have to say is, come here Kasey let me do your ears. He runs and lays on the floor in another room. He's like dead weight when I pick him up. It's funny it looks like he is fainting sometimes. He stands up and falls straight back. |

My furkids Donating Member | I would take Mardelin's advise. I think a vet visit is what he needs. Maybe he has mites? I make sure that I keep the hair out of their ears. I also use Oticlean on a cotton ball to clean out their ears every time I give them a bath. I just twist the dampened cotton ball in their ear..
