| he is 7 months old and his weight is about 0.6 - 0.7 kg. now. i have him for 4 months and he went to hospital 3 times for having glucose. he eats dog food called pinnacle (trout&sweet potatoes formula). i knew that he has this problem from this site http://www.elvisyorkshireterrier.com...poglycemia.htm as his symptoms match all the sighs informing in the site. |

Donating YT 30K Club Member | I fed Cali every 2-3 hours at first and then every 4-5 at 2 years she still eats 3 times a day nad gets little treats in between, She did seem to grow out of the episodes at 9 months of age.

If he is experiencing hypoglycemia this often at 7 months then there is most likely an underlying cause such as liver disease. An abnormal liver will cause low glucose levels. Other causes could be Addison's disease, Hypopituitarism, diabetes, or kidney problems to name a few. I guess my point is to take him to a vet as soon as possible because this is not normal and is a very serious issue and your baby is way too adorable to lose!

| I also wanted to add that your baby is just too beautiful for words but he does have some of the physical features of a dog with hydrocephalus (an extremely serious condition) which can have very similar symptoms to hypoglycemia. Have your vet evaluate the possibility of this as well. Unfortunately I know this from experience and research and have found that hydrocephalus often results in an extremely beautiful but sick little baby.

| We have a very small pup right now that the vet also has us put kryo syrup in her water. Perhaps that might help too??
