| What I would do is make some white rice and either boil or broil plain chicken breast. Then cut up the chicken (after removing fat, skin and bones) and mix it in with the rice. My vets recommend boiled chicken with white rice when dogs have tummy problems or loose stool. So this combo shouldn't give your baby any bad reactions until their new food arrives. Plus, this would be homecooked ... so you wouldn't have to worry about feeding your babies anything that is possibly on the recall list.

So now I will have a backup if for some reason they refuse the Canidae, which I hope they don't because I spent quite a bit on it - but if they do, I'll definitely try that next!

| Have you used their store locater to see if there is a store near you that carries Canidae? That's what I did and I found it at an out of the way store only 20 miles from home. What a FANTASTIC find for me. |

| Oh no! This recall business is a mess. Why don't you cook up some chicken/rice for the next couple of days. You can add some cooked veggies if you want. They'll love it and since you'll be using human grade food you don't need to worry!

| I think they have Wellness at petsmart, I wanted the Canidae but they have to order it around here, so I went with the Wellness and they are all now finally eating it, Canidae is alittle bit cheaper but I hate to change them again...Good luck Brooke, if you need me to I will express mail you some Wellness, just let me know....

| Royal Canine Yorkshire Terrier 28 is the ONLY dry food my furbabies eat. We supplement with fresh raw baby carrots, cooked green beans, peas, just about any cooked vegetable that isn't gassy for snacks (and veggies are also low in calories), one of my babies has allergies and this is the only food out there that helps with his allergies (he won't touch lamb and rice) .I know it is very expensive, but well worth the money and is available at Pet Smart. Occasionaly they do get a few bites of roasted/baked/broiled chicken if we are having it, but I do try to stay away from giving them beef due to allergies and calories

| What made you decide on Canidae? I feed my yorkie Natural Balance ultra premium canned & dry & he loves it (he's been on it 2 years). The venison "flavor" has been recalled, but so far (knock wood) none of the other "flavors"-- |

I started feeding mine Canidae and Merrick only now. The only wet I feed is Merrick. I mix a 5lb bag of canidae and a 5lb bag of a Merrick flavor. Good luck to us all with our pets. This is so out of hand. I had not even heard that the Chicken Soup had been recalled. How HORRIBLE.
